“Never fails to disappoint.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012 via mobile

As a seasoned traveller, visiting Majorca at least once a year, eating at IRU at least once each visit to Pollensa has become somewhat of a routine.

My most recent visit this year was excellent as ever.

This restaurant consistently offers good service and food. The staff are professional and extremely attentive.

Yes it is more expensive than some, but the food qualities justifies said increase.

Having consumed the majority of the menu over the years, I can highly recommend:

Croquettes

Meat paella

Chocolate soufflé with white chocolate sauce

20 y/old port

These 3 courses will leave you feeling very satisfied.

“Quality and good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

Others have mentioned this is not the cheapest place to eat, but the food is good and beautifully presented. We ate there twice: we had the set menu which was actually quite filling at €16.80 and just a main course another night. The restaurant combines traditional Mallorcan cuisine with a more stylish and contemporary feel than some of the other places nearby and is well worth a visit.

“Terrible Paella!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

We visited this restaurant last night, lured in by it's busy atmosphere and prominent position on the front. We ordered the Paella and were really disappointed - the Paella was served onto plates away from the table do we didn't get to see what it looked like when it came out but the portions were quite small. We'd ordered the mixed Paella and had expected it to be full of meat and seafood - unfortunately this wasn't the case. We each had 2 large prawns, 2 mussels and 2 clams and the main Paella mix primarily consisted of undercooked rice and peas, with the very occassional piece of meat which was more bone than meat. When asked by the waiter how the food was, we told him the Paella was terrible which he seemed surprised by, claiming their Paella's were the best in Pto Pollensa! He then went away (we suspect to examine the Paella) and then came back and agreed it was not upto standard and had removed it from the bill, but by this point the experience had put a real dampener on the whole evening. Having read the other reviews on trip advisor, it seems that the good outweigh the bad so maybe we'd just been unlucky but I wanted to share our experience.

“Great food and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

This is not a particularly cheap place to eat, but the food, location, and service were very good, and I would recommend it highly. Carlos andthe staff are very professional, friendly and attentive. We hope to return in May and possibly get round to staying in those beautiful appartmentos. Good luck Carlos.
