“Nice Place but not Maintained”

The govt. should seriously look at this place. The place is beautiful but all animals looked starved and dirty.

“Only Wildlife sanctuary in Tripura”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

The area of Sipahijala Wildlife Sanctuary is huge, but not as other National parks. Actually its a kind of Zoo. Sipahijala Wildlife Sanctuary is famous for spectacles monkey. This is now a very rare species. Sipahijala is best in winter to do picnic with family and friends. Its not very far from Agartala. Its in Bishalgarh district.

“Wild life from close quarters”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

The sight of the the famous spectacled monkey, which is now a rare species, was worth the visit. Peacocks, Black Necked Stork, Pelicans, Clouded Leopards, Deers (we spotted one in open space), a Lion were some of the other attractions. Several floral species too were on display, with their names prominently etched on the boards, though I don't remember them all except for the bamboos, palm trees, and rubber plantation.

It's best to visit this place during winter as the scorching Sun made it really difficult to walk long stretches (of course, some wise visitors were armed with umbrellas, which I guess made it a tad easier).
