South Africa should be on everyones bucket list. The sights are something that everyone should experience.
If you come durring the week the place is almost deserted. The place makes you think of all the brave men who sailed around it in wooden ships ages ago on their way to Asia, the first one from Portugal in 1488 (Bartholomeo Diaz).
The landscape and the trails are wonderful!
I would surely suggest the excursion, better by car so that you can see both streets on both sides
You need a few hours to really get the most out of the whole area. We walked up to the lighthouse (there is a funicular railway) , the views were amazing, two oceans, rugged cliffs, pounding seas. To actually be at the Cape of Good Hope was thrilling. Take time to enjoy everything.
Interesting place to visit. Well worth climbing up to the lighthouse for the great views. Make sure you have a fleece as it's very windy but worth it as the scenery is stunning. If you don't fancy the walk then there is a funicular railway.
