“Go & get the photo at the Cape!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

A brilliant day out for us as a family, amazing views and walks, with the ultimate photo opportunity at the most south westerly point of Africa! If you are in the Western Cape you must do this!

“Cape of Good Hope”

If you go toCaoe Town and do not go to Cape Point you will really regret it! Stunning scenery, and on the way you see seals, whales, penguins, baboons and no telling what else!

“A must visit place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

This reviewer was dragged whingeing and whining all the way to the old light house on the cliffs. it's a good hike but having done it you appreciate the scale of everything around you.. nothing between you and Antarctica a few tousand kilometres south.
The walks around the reserve are so well laid out and looked after that they are irresistible. The "Southern Most point" is not the True Southern Most point, you have to get to Aghulas to see that... only adds to the adventure

“A dream come true!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

Having studied the Capes in history, I was over the moon to be finally here. The drive along the National Park is fine (roads are well maintained) and then you arrive. We climbed to the lighthouse at Cape Point then drove around to the Cape of Good Hope. There are buses that can whizz you up to the lighthouse as well if mobility is limited. Not overly commercialised which was a great relief. Photo taken at The Sign - everyone politely queued & waited for their turn!
Well worth the trip & the most breathtaking scenery if you travel down through Chapmans Peak!
