I wish I could be kind with this review, but absolutely cannot.....if it weren't for the fact that it was booked and paid for by the company I was working for I would have checked out post haste and found alternative accommodation.
As has been mentioned by previous reviewers the online picture shows the Chefs Fayre restaurant which is housed in a pleasant looking building but is NOTHING like the Premier which is approached from the rear of the restaurant and is far from a pleasant sight being a 60's type hostel looking brick building.
I almost believed I was in the wrong place when I entered the old, worn, tired, tatty and small reception area and then had to wait some 10 minutes to check in, but have to say my disappointment and frazzled temper were alleviated by the pleasantness of the 2 reception staff. I had previously (as always) called prior to arrival requesting a top floor end of corridor room which I received.
As per many Premiers there was no lift and I had an exceedingly heavy suitcase....no problem one of the reception staff took it upstairs.
The room was the average size, but oh so dingy, dark and bare with the cheapest (more than normal I'm sure) furniture.
There was the usual desk, chair, small armchair and open hanging wardrobe with a couple of drawers. The small window had a ratty net curtain across 2 panes of glass one of which was completely misted between the glazing with bird poo splattered all down outside.
The bed thank goodness and pillows were of the usual reasonable sleepable quality......but I so wish they'd put lighter duvets on in the summer as there was no a/c only a small rather ineffective fan.
The bathroom again was the normal Premier standard with bath/shower and on wall hand/shower soap.
Unless the Premier was very empty I was rather surprised at the quietness and lack of slamming doors, but it did appear that doors were fitted with reasonable closing door arms.
As peer norm Internet is free for 30 mins per day or 3 pounds per 24 hours and 10 pounds for a week, although it was useless with little or no signal which as a work stay caused problems and I had to do my work in the restaurant where the signal was perfect.
I will not go into the food at the restaurant..,.. that is another story!!!
Would I stay here again?.......absolutely no way.
