We stayed here for one night and was pleased at how large the room was, easy it was to check in/out and friendly the owner was. This was a great place to stay!!!

3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2011

Seventh accommodation we stayed in during our trip to South Island. Booked through AAtravel website, prepaid NZD137 for 1 night (3 adults). Check-in on 8 Dec 2011 was smooth - we used the phone just outside the Office and were told that key was in the lock of Unit 5. Description of studio units is exactly as what is mentioned in their website. Room was spacious and comfortable for family of three, but a clothes rack for coats/jackets (no wardrobe/hangers were provided) and maybe a luggage rack would have been useful. We liked that the electric mattress pads kept us warm at night and the wireless internet came in handy. We had bought some groceries from Queenstown for our dinner as we read that there were limited eateries there and the kitchenette was well-equipped. Room was all right for 1 night’s stay as we had booked the High Country Horses ride and wanted to take a leisurely drive to and from Glenorchy and Queenstown – beautiful views.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2011

During a recent trip to New Zealand I had the good fortune of staying at this lovely little motel. It is quite small and looks like many country motels from the outside. But the unit was a delight. Beautifully appointed and very well maintained. It was very comfortable and there were many extras you don't expect to find. The owners, Corrine and Thor, were great hosts. They were helpful and very friendly and nothing was a bother. They had many great suggestions for local sights to see.

If you're reading this review, you probably know that accommodation choices in Glenorchy are pretty limited. But I can highly recommend this motel, the rooms are a good size with comfortable beds, they are warm (I was there at the start of winter) and have everything you'll need including wireless internet.

A tip if you're planning to stay for a few nights - buy food in Queenstown before you come as the eating out options are limited (some are expensive) and the local store has a limited range of food items. The units have microwaves and cooktops.
