“Ultra modern, open, cosy and centrally located - we loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

We loved our five days at Akazora! The snow was great - and the powder was dreamy! Our 2-bed apartment was a great base for our ski holiday. Good access to the slopes - a bit of a hike to the first lift - but we got accustomed to that. A great choice of restaurants in the evenings. Relaxing hours easy to spend in the apartment looking out at the snow falling - just beautiful! We loved that the Wifi worked well. The beds and quilts were best quality and so comfortable. It was nice to have a washing machine to wash out ski gear in the evenings - and of course a dish washer so nobody spent too much time cleaning up in the kitchen. Choice of English language TV channels was good. Great storage in the basement for ski equipmentThe staff were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed in Akazora for 10 nights in Feb 2013 and loved the place.

There were 5 of us in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment with Mountain Views (room 301). The view of the mountain is beautiful to wake up to, and at night when the night skiing is happening.

Even though one of us was on the fold out couch (which is actually a double bed with a better mattress than mine back home!), it was still extremely spacious. In the lounge there is a double fold out couch, dining table and chairs, excellent hi-speed free wi-fi, a iPod docking station and massive kitchen.

As you walk into the apartment there in an internal laundry room with clothes line, so you can hang up all your snow clothes and avoid taking them through the apartment. Each bedroom is a great size, easily fitting two single beds (or a queen in each). The bathrooms are big, and the shower is AMAZING. None of us could believe how good the shower pressure was...! There was also a drying/locker room in the basement with private lock up areas for each apartment so you can store your ski's and boards.

The staff are very friendly. They picked us up from the welcome centre and dropped us off when we left. They even gave us a free lift to Annapuri one morning as they were heading there for a snowboard themselves.

The apartment is located in a great spot, both in regards to mountain access and nightlife. Mountain access is super easy as you can either walk to the beginners run by the Vale, or you're literally 100 meters walk from the main bus stop which takes you to the Gondola, Hanazono, Niseko Village, or Moiwa.

The Seiko Mart is also very close (2 min walk) and has everything you could need to stock up the fridge in the apartment.

The same street Akazora is situated on, is actually one of the best night life streets in the area. There's heaps of bars, and restaurants only a short walk. In fact, Splash bar is immediately next door.

Highly recommend for anyone to stay here, whether you are a couple, family, or just a group of friends.

Cheers.

Venue was very well located, close to restaurants, bars, supermarket, ski hire and a short walk to Ace family pair lift, getting you on the mountain without too much fuss. Building and apartment were very clean and comfortable. Staff were extremely friendly and always willing to provide help and advice. We had a two bedroom two bathroom apartment for 4 adults which was big enough. Cooking utensils, plates and cutlery were all sufficient, microwave lacked English instructions but functions were soon figured out.

we stayed here last week 4 adults in a 2 bedroom unit - could not ask for anything more - great views from our lounge overlooking yoeti.

Wonderfully equipped unit with a washing machine (with washing powder!) plenty of room for all your ski gear to dry in the laundry, kitchen comes with microwave plus stove, dishwasher and rice cooker and utensils even a bottle opener! bathrooms are roomy and also well equipped with hairdryer, soap, body was, shampoo and detergent! heats in every room. Super comfy lounge with Fox Tv with English channels included. Beds are comfy with extra pillows and doonas too.

Location is fantastic - just a short walk to the town centre and many restaurants and bars.

Staff were always helpful and friendly.

Seriously we could not fault it at all.

Room Tip: 205 fantastic 2 bedroom unit at the back of the block quite with great views.

We stayed at Akazora for five nights in a 1-bedroom apartment. It is a brand new complex with decent apartment sizes and equipped with all sorts of facilities within the apartment. The room layout was efficient with plenty of storage space (even a separate storage room for sports gear). There was even a washing machine with detergent. And bathroom contained all amenities. The location of the building is fantastic with just a 2 minutes walk away from the Seicomart which is in the center of the town. The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. Would definitely recommend further and re-visit again!

I was really pleased to stay here. The apartment was very modern, clean and spacious, and the location is great, right in the middle of Hirafu village. I was especially impressed with the staff who went out of their way to be helpful.

We have been to Niseko before and stayed in a few other places, but this was definitely the nicest and best value for money.

The apartments are a good size and have good storage space for all your ski bits and bobs. We had a 2 bedroom. The beds were all singles which we just pushed together to make 2 doubles. The sitting room is a nice size and the decor nice and simple. There is little not to like.

The location is great. A few mins walk from all the bars and restaurants. The walk to the slope is about 7 minutes. So if you normally struggle carrying skis and prefer the ski in/ ski out then this may be too much of a walk for you. Although finding ski in/ ski out is difficult in Niseko, so when you compare the options available this is a good choice. I normally grumble walking with skis and this distance to the slope was fine.

The living room is spacious and I think the sofa may be convertible into a bed. If this is the case the apartment could fit 6 people easily.

We will be back next year!

Room Tip: Our aparment did not have a great view, but I am not sure which ones would!
