“What a great place!~”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013

We enjoyed a great meal here with good service and delicious fresh tasty food. The front of house staff person made a big effort to find us a table despite being heavily booked out until March 2014. Worth a revisit which we will next time in Niseko

“Cozy Izakaya”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2013

Nice cozy izakaya, centrally located in downtown Hirafu. Staff spoke some English and we had no difficulties in ordering. We had the hotpot and gyoza and they even gave us complimentary appetiser which was a potato dish, specialty product of Hokkaido. Reasonable price and food quality was good. Great option for dinner but do get there early as the place seems to be a popular dinner spot for skiiers in the district.

“Yummy Beef Hotpot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2013

Had a wonderful dinner here with friends recently. Beef Hotpot set. Lovely food all the way through the differing courses.

Only complain if any would be the ventilation (clothes smell after) and perhaps lack of staff who can speak English.

But worth an experience. Not the cheapest in the village but nothing is in Niseko.

“Hip n Nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2013

The food and ambience and staff and cosiness here made dinner very pleasant and extra tasty. The hotpot, pork and chicken skewers, fried chicken are must have. Price wise reasonable for the quality and quantity. Try to go before opening as when it opened, the place filled up almost instantaneously.

“Abucha, we go every ski season without fail...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2013

location: awesome, smack in the middle of the hirafu village.
cost: not that cheap, youre looking at at least 30-40USD before alcohol.
ambience: top notch, its totally that cosy, noisy group dinner place.
food: its like a westernized version of izakaya. dont forget to try the awesome cake!
service: its crowded every night in peak season, so have to be patient with the waiters, who spreak very decent english.
drinks: they have a bar serving cocktails, sake menu is a bit lacking, but we like the fresh beer.

there is just something about this restaurant that makes us come back year afte year.
