All the other reviews reflect how good this hotel is. For confidence that you are going to have a comfortable stay this is a very good hotel. I don't want to repeat all the good stuff as it is all true. Also what hasn't been mentioned, I don't think, is that you can get everything you might need, like magnifying makeup mirror, hairdryer, shampoo and hair conditioner of decent quality in the room and even pajamas (if you want larger sizes than are provided, just take to the desk for exchange to a larger size) They also provide razers, toothbrushes and toothpaste! there is an extensive list of things you can ask for, most free, including an iron, umbrellas and bikes! (a fee is charged for use longer than 2 hours for the bikes).
The only thing they don't have, as apparently is uncommon in a lot of countries, is a facecloth. I went and bought one for a dollar at the nearby department store, where you can pick up food, drinks, etc for you room. You can borrow dishes apparently too at the front desk. They provide some tea in the room but no sugar or creamers and no coffee but there are two Starbucks in the area for the addicted. Lots of restaurants closeby in the American village which is actually a large outdoor shopping mall. You can get any food there, including A&W, McDonalds, Red Lobster, and pizza!
I can't imagine what else more you might want, except perhaps a pool, although if you don't mind being nude in public the japanese baths seem to have a cool pool after you wash to relax in ( I didn't go!)

Room Tip: They almost all have a view of the ocean, or at least part of it, either looking along the shore or...

I would highly recommend the Vessel hotel as a place to stay. I checked in late at night about 11PM. I had booked through agoda.com and when I got to the hotel there were no problems in finding the reservation. Check-in was about 5 minutes and off I was to my room. The size of the room was good. My room had two beds. I'm not sure what size you would call it, it was bigger than a single but smaller than a queen size bed. It was very comfortable.

The room had plenty of electrical outlets, 2 prong style. There was a safe and pajamas if you wanted it. There was a small open closet when hangers. I don't recall seeing an iron or ironing board, but I didn't need one. The only bad thing and it is not the hotel faults, was there no english channels on TV. There were 1 or 2 shows, but I gave up on TV there.

My room had a great view of the sea and of American Village which has a lot of shopping and restaurants. It is across the street from the hotel.

The bathroom was functional. The water was hot and had great pressure. The toilet is one of those models that had the built in bidet function.

Apparantly there are different priced rooms and that gets you different service. My room was only cleaned 1 time during the week I was there, but fresh towels were given daily. If you wanted additional cleaning, you could ask for it for a fee. My other colleagues got there rooms cleaned everyday and there rooms included breakfast. This doesn't bother me as I don't need my bed made everyday. This was a plus for me.

Breakfast was 1200 yen as I recall. It was buffett style and a great selection of American and Japanese foods. Coffee was good as well.

I had a car and parked at the hotel. No problems here either, there were plenty of spaces, and for those that scuba they had storage lockers for your gear.

Throughout the stay, I talked to the front desk staff. All were very helpful and always had a smile. I never complain about english skills since this is Japan, not America. And all the staff had a great working knowledge or English and I had no problems with communicating.
I had no regrets staying here, and I would defintately stay here again. Great job Vessel.

The Vessel hotel for me was nearly the perfect three star hotel. It got all the basic things right (comfortable, clean, friendly, good airconditioning, hot shower) but without the expense and frippery of fancier hotels. Staff were friendly and well spoken and most had good English (although most guests are Japanese). WiFi was very good. The restaurant only serves breakfast, but as you are right next to the "American Village" will a plethora of restaurants that is no hardship. The hotel is also well set up for divers, with dedicated dive lockers with washing and drying facilities.

The only niggles people may want to be aware of are (i) except breakfast, you have to go out to eat (see above); (ii) by Western standards the beds are quite firm; (iii) no English channels on the television; and (iv) no pool (although you are right on the beach). Didn't bother me but it may bother others.

Room Tip: If you are on the south side you face away from the air force base, which mitigates noise from the A...

Over the years I have stayed at all of the major hotels in the area. This was my first time in this new property and I think it its the best in the area. Ample free parking with wide spaces, free internet(wired or with free wireless router from the front desk), Japanese style public bath, 10 washer/dryers, two massage chairs on the 10th floor (100¥/10 min), rental bikes, nice views, friendly staff, very reasonable price, wide variety at breakfast (1200¥), and proximity to major bases and many good restaurants will make my decision to stay here again very easy.

There is a good mini fridge in the room and a microwave its available on the ground floor. Vending machines with soda, beer and ice cream are available.

I agree with most of the reviews--brand new hotel, well maintained. The rooms are very large by Japanese standards, especially considering the price. The staff speak functional English, and are extremely polite and helpful. My WiFi worked in my room and the common areas. The breakfast was also very good, with both Japanese and American choices--the bread/roll selections were surprisingly good, and the cappuccino machine was a nice touch. If you're heading to Okinawa on business (or pleasure), you can not go wrong booking this hotel.

Excellent, immaculate hotel. Firm beds with pillows that are a combination of stuffing and buckwheat hulls, which I found firm but surprisingly comfortable. They ask that you not use shoes on the carpet, but they provide slippers for use in the rooms. Located across the street from American Village, a shopping/entertainment complex. Parking available in the garage below the hotel. Breakfast is a huge buffet, with Western and Japanese food, including excellent fresh fruit. The in-room air conditioning is controlled by remote. In-room internet is by wired connection, but the front desk offers WiFi routers. This is a Japanese hotel that will feel comfortable to Americans. Vending machines include drinks and ice cream. If you want snacks, visit the nearby Aeon store.

The Vessel Hotel Campana is located in central Okinawa on the sea shore and has a very friendly and helpful staff. We had an ocean view room that was large by Japanese standards and comfortable. The Hotel gave us a free WiFi router to connect to the in-room internet line, which worked extremely well. The hotel staff spoke good English and was very helpful arranging taxis and suggesting activities around Okinawa. The American Village location has many restaurants, including some famous US franchises, and shops that are frequented by both Japanese and US military personnel that are stationed nearby. From our experience all of the restaurants and shops we visited were staffed by Japanese, most of whom speak good English. The hotel has only a breakfast service, but the large number of restaurants just outside the door offset that weakness. There's no pool, but the hotel has a traditional Japanese public bath which is good if you enjoy that experience. Also good lockers to store your dive gear if you're in Okinawa for diving. Overall a good hotel for those who want a slight American flavor to a Japanese hotel.

Room Tip: Though almost all rooms have an ocean view, ask for a room on the western side of the hotel for the...
