“Family trip in France”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

We looked for a pleasant spot to experience the Atlantic coast in France. P&C in Le Domaine de Camphore is located very well being closed to local beaches and within easy access of other areas of interest.

We chose this accommodation as we wanted somewhere close to the beach, with good facilities and quality accommodation. We were not disappointed, the whole coast in this area is stunning and easily accessible for everyone. We found a few little coves, down steep steps, but out of the strong Bay of Biscay winds creating little sun traps. The accommodation for up to 4 people has everything you need - a small kitchen (very well equipped), a separate toilet and bathroom, a balcony (with table and chairs) and one bedroom. Our two teenage girls had the sofa beds, which were very easy to make and put away during the day. The accommodation has many things to offer - tennis, bike hire, swimming pool and is very close to the sea. There are good supermarkets within a short driving distance and the main restaurants and port are approximately 3/4 mile away. I would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation and area for a fabulous family holiday.

Managed to get away for a 3 night break with husband and 6 month old. Very good value at about 260euros, mid June. Reception very helpful and friendly on arrival. Appartment very well equipped, baby kit installed for our arrival - very good quality cot, high chair and buggy. Comfy beds, plenty of bath linen and bath robes included. Very clean and tidy appartment and gardens, pool looked good, although we didn't use it. Lovely to walk along the headland into Le Pouliguen where there are some lovely restaurants and bakeries. Our first visit to a P&V premium residence and we were very impressed. Would definitely recommend this and will be returning!

1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2011

We were two adults and one baby who paid about 1200 euros for one week in a self catering flat- what a waste of money!. The room was cleaned when we got there but that was it as far as the cleaning service was concerned. For the rest of the week, there was no cleaning service at all. We got one toilet paper roll when we arrived and were denied any more, no Sir! We had to get it ourselves, just like the bin bags. I asked for an extra tea towel but was told it was 'not possible'. The mattress for the baby bed was 1 cm thick and therefore very hard, so we had to put some towels under the sheet. The decor was not nice, the carpet was old and faded and there was a lack of lamps in the bedroom and pictures to create a good atmosphere.

The room did not contain a VCR, or a DVD player and there was no other channels than French ones, and as the wireless connection was unusuable due to slowness so it was not possible to watch any non-French movies at all. That is - had my husband not bought a DVD player and some movies himself! The weather was terrible too and it was a depressing place to be stuck indoors. Thankfully there were some nice areas to visit and good restaurants around.

The only good thing I can say about the hotel was that there is an onsite bakery wherer you can order fresh bread at reasonable prices for the next morning.
