“I hope you like raw cabbage”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

Ok lets be serious now..We arrived at the hotel, after reading these awful reviews, thinking "It cant be that bad!" But trust me...it is that bad!
Upon arrival we thought the room, however basic, was not tht bad. Plus they had prepared room for us after a long journey..and trust me that coach journey is LONG and the drivers are INSANE!
Realised that there where only 8 guests in the ENTIRE hotel..therefore NO buffet breakfast..stale toast, an egg (if your lucky) jam, cheese, ham and salami that could have been used for poker chips!
Skiing there was great fun, the instructors are awesome, make sure you get Peter...But watch out for the bell sellers! (Particularly MICHEAL - he is not your friend! and bullied about £15 out of us by the end of our week).
Back to the hotel...dinner, printed on an A4 sheet of paper...included... Cabbage, cold soup, stale bread, undercooked chicken, and chips - raw dipped in oil. And to top that off - An apple. On a plate. For your pudding.
It was soon we realised... The dinner was the same as was the breakfast - EVERY DAY.
The waiters seemed to not quite understand the laughter from the dining room, was not enjoyment, but instead shock at finding wood shavings in your baklava cake!
The room is FREEZING, the shower is SO POWERFUL and LEAKS EVERYWHERE the shower fills up like a bath, then spills all over the floor! Oh and yes...the toilet blocked...
To top this off, drinks are not included. Coffee but only with breakfast, when I went to get a coffee in the day, the staff turned the machine off!!
There is no gym, no massage, no nightclub. Just the remains of your soul after a week of hideous service.
We still had fun, but seriously, never again. Unless you want to live of protein bars, like we did!

I can't understand the reviews for this jewel. The receptionist RAN to help with the cases( at 3am), the room turned out to be a suite, the food was varied and much thought had gone into it and all the staff did everything they could to make our holiday special. It's great.(Oh and the toilets worked)

Fantastic hotel, great for families or couples, friendly to the extreme, nothing is a problem to the three and only staff.
From the moment we arrived at 1am (4hr transfer) food and drink in the room to the moment we left (3am pick-up) again food and drink for the journey, we where treat well.

The hotel is situated at the end of a forest road amidst beautiful scenery, quiet and peaceful.
There is a complimentary ski-bus at 9am, returning from 3pm-5pm, no night service.
To get into town ask the recpetionist for the best taxi fare (should be no more that 6lev) and pay the driver when he picks you up.
Otherwise most of the restaurants offer to pick you up and return you free.

Rooms ar basic and clean, warm 24hours, there is a small fridge though no hair dryer, the shower and toilets work well (despite other reviews), soap and shampoo on hand, though the towels are only changed one a week ,you could ask for more if this is not enough.
Food is plentiful, varied and again not as other reviews it is not recycled, always different and delicious.
Breakfast is continental though fried and boiled eggs are always served, ask for cold milk as the norm is hot, fruit teas are served so bring your own .

Bar prices are very cheap, beer £1 and local Vodka and coke around £2, comfortable lounge (light the log fire(matches on the mantlepiece).

Have a great time forget what you have read (or do not waste your time on the day trip to plovdiv (at £20 its is not worth the journey) and the guide talks for the whole day, even the drivwer told her to shut it.

Have fun in the snow.

Room Tip: Try for floor 4 for the best view and balcony.
