This is a privately owned house, which opens for guided tours(£6) and limited opening times, so check on their website before you plan to visit. We spent a very enjoyable hour or two here during the Easter weekend. The tour guide did not usually do tours for the house so had to read from a prompt sheet, but it was enjoyable all the same and the rooms spoke for themselves, with the ball room having a lovely painted ceiling. As it was out of season their cafe was not open and we had tea in the dining room of the house instead. The hectic service of the ten people in the group merely added to the quirky charm of our time there. Unfortunately we did not have time to explore the parkland.
Entrance is up steps, and tour includes some upstairs rooms. Toilets available
