I am so happy that a friend suggested Strawberry Fields to me when planning a long holiday in JA. We were in need of country, fresh air, green space etc.
We rented a cottage that overlooked the ocean. Goats and horses freely roamed. This was such a lovely space and we can't wait to return. We have been suggesting this as a getaway to all of our friends/family in JA (especially in Kingston) as well as abroad. We really are thankful to have found this gorgeus gem. Robin's Bay is really end of the road Jamaica.
Only a couple of suggestions: the bed in cockatiel cottage (large one)-the mattress is way too soft and needs to be removed right away! All of our back problems intensified sleeping there. Also, if trips are being made into the nearest large town, it would have been greatly appreciated to have been informed. Especially as not having rented a car, and that route taxis do not pass too frequently. It would have made shopping for groceries a bit easier..

Relaxing, peaceful, welcoming... It was everything one can ask for in a weekend!

We loved our stay here because we got to know the owners and other patrons around meal times. The staff was friendly and helpful. Most memorable was our hike to Kwamen Falls (about an hour and a half walk from Strawberry Fields). We saw few other people along the trail and it was a little hard to find, so it was an adventure. We also asked Everett (one of the owners) to take us to a coffee plantation so we could learn about how coffee is grown in Jamaica. It was fun meeting and talking with the coffee workers and stopping at some little stores along the way.

I have planned many a family holiday vacation.....Just try to make all 10 people happy at the same time....near impossible....Until our ATV adventure at Strawberry fields.....It was challenging for those in the family that had driven ATV's and lets say OVER THE TOP for those that had never driven/road before. Not to mention the natural beauty at every turn....dramatic cliff views...rustic waterfalls...historical dams….on the way to the Black Sand Beach....Family Portrait / beach combing and then a delicious campfire style meal of fish / yams / hamburgers & hotdogs next to the gorgeous Kwamen falls. I would say a perfect day for our family of ten - 4 - 50’s, 4 - 20’s, 1 teenager & Grandma - 77 years young. Ride to Live...Live to Ride in paradise....
