Although we had been guided by previous Trip Advisor reviews, we weren't really sure what to expect when we arrived at the old Ainsa town square of Plaza Mayor. The hotel is not immediately obvious but is still proved fairly simple to locate...once a local was asked to point it out. As indicated in other reviews, non-resident parking is restricted to an area behind the adjacent fort...about a 200m walk (no problems - direct route to hotel through the fort but over gravel and cobblestones if you are hauling large suitcases with wheels). However, we were able to access the Plaza Mayor to drop-off and load-up our baggage immediately in front of the hotel, although such access may be more restricted on weekends when the tourist traffic increases. The discreet hotel entrance and 'medieval' facade disguises modern and spacious rooms...ours having a stunning view of the Pyrenees to the north of Ainsa. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the hotel location, the room, the continental breakfast provided, and the "quiet", no-fuss service (ie, if you need something, ask and it will be done).
