“Just fantastic experience!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2012 via mobile

We have stayed at Villa Arianna in July for four days with my son 12 years old.. This is a really lovely place.. Very cosy and comfortable. The proprietaries Liliane and Maurizio are such nice persons that make you feel like to be at home.
The beautiful decorations around give the sensation of being in wonderland. In the same time the place is very silent and green. Beautiful swimming pool and excellent kitchen. The ideal place for couples, families with children and for everyone who is looking for complete relax. The children are having so much fun that don't want to leave.. The location is great to visit many historic places or to go for concert of Andrea Bocelli..
I would recommend it to stay for vacation or at least for a weekend time. We'll certainly return very soon.
Thank you Liliane and Maurizio for such amazing experience!!!

The Villa Arianna is located in Ripoli at Lari, in the rolling hills of the wine road.
The architecturally interesting art nouveau villa surrounded by a 15,000 m2 of beautiful parkland, an ideal place to relax.
The B & B is centrally located to reach all sights within an hour (25 km Pisa, Lucca 40, Florence 60, Siena 70, San Gimignano 45, Volterra 35 and the sea 25 km).
Enclosed parking.
Beautiful pool area overlooking the park.
Nice and clean rooms overlooking the park.
There is a welcome letter, as well as bottled water and books from the library in the family room.
Lots of information for the trips to the guest language! stand for the duration of your stay.
If the weather allows food in the park is served at beautifully decorated tables in the shade of centuries-old trees.
An exquisite dinner fantastic (if required) is served by candle light and every detail here is maintained with great care and the personal tastes of the owner. (Bravo Liliane and Maurizio!)
A family atmosphere - Liliane and Maurizio pamper their guests like they were family, but still not pushy!
A great price-performance ratio!
And the personal charm of the owners you get for free!
All in all a good holiday - we will come back.

Italian charm, great location, quiet, yet accessible to everything. Lillanna and Maurizo were wonderful hosts. Maurizo was quick to offer advise, brochures and general info on day trips and things to see. Rooms were nice, and quiet. Guests were offered a wonderful continental breakfast each morning. Warning, after you fill your plate and sit down, they bring croissants. We highly recommend staying at this villa, one could not ask for better hosts than Lillianna and Maurizo.

We only visited for Friday dinner but Maurizio and Lillianne were charm personified, the cooking wonderful and general atmosphere very genial. Also good value. So thanks M and L, and all best wishes for the future. Charlie and Katharine, Aylesbury, UK

It`s difficult to find any fault with this beautiful Villa and it`s most welcoming owners.
I first stayed here about 5 years ago, for 4 night, with my daughter and we both fell in love with the place then.
During my first visit it my birthday and after my daughter had secretly told the owners, I was surprised by the most incredible evening meal and cake - it was a memorable experience.
In fact the owners (Liliane and Maurizio) almost overshadow the beauty of the villa.
They are the epitomy of welcoming hosts and nothing could be too much trouble for them to make your stay enjoyable.
So, I enjoyed it easily enough to return again this year with my fiancee, for 7 days and again we had a truly fantastic time.
Liliane loves nothing more than preparing sumptuose meals, from breakfast to evening dinner and every little aspect is so lovingly thought out.
What about the Villa? Well the rooms are lovely, the garden is inviting and it`s really a place that you can`t wait to get back to after exploring the region,
There are just so many little personal touches that I would prefer not to mention them but only tell you to go and enjoy them for yourself.
Would I go back again? . . definitely!

We stayed 2 nights at Villa Arianna at the start and end of our week's holiday at a nearby apartment and it was the perfect start and end to our holiday in Tuscany. I would definitely recommend it.

You enter the B&B through a large double doorway that leads you into a beautiful entrance hall warmly lit by a chandelier and fairy lights with a beautiful dining room on your right and from those first moments we both felt we had entered a really relaxed and beautifully decorated home. These feelings continued as we went around the house and to our rooms - beautiful floors and furniture, a really wonderful house that seemed a lot larger on the inside than from the outside.

The rooms were beautiful and as we stayed two nights separated by a week we stayed in two different rooms - Michelangelo and Raffaello. The first had a lovely view over the gardens and the second was entered via a private hallway and the down a few stairs in to the room. The rooms were slightly different but both were wonderfully decorated and comfortable.

Outside there is a large garden which includes a play area for children and at the top of the garden is the swimming pool which has a lovely view back down towards the house where you can see the town of Cevoli with its church clock tower.

You can get all the details about the rooms and the B&B from the website (villarianna.it) but it is not those details that make staying at the B&B such a pleasure. It is the little touches that really make Villa Arianna stand out from other places I have stayed.

On the first evening we had the 4 course dinner and the food was incredible. All home cooked and in many cases using fruit, herbs and vegetables grown at the garden (such as figs, plums, oranges). Not only was the food some of the nicest I have eaten but the setting and table decorations were wonderful as well. We ate outside at a candle lit table and there were more candles and strings of lights hung in the surrounding trees and around the garden. It really made for a magical and romantic setting for our dinner. We ate dinner there again on our final day and the experience was equally good. A fig and bacon starter - delicious. Roasted pear, homemade lavender cake… everything was delicious.

The breakfast was also wonderful with lots of home baked cakes alongside the delicious coffee, croissants and other breakfast food, again eaten in the garden.

We were really made to feel welcome and there was nothing more we could have wanted. Maurizio even offered to let us know the next time he would be going to the supermarket as we weren't renting a car during our week's holiday in case we wanted a hand brining our shopping up the hill! On our final day when we were back at the B&B our flight wasn't until the evening and Maurizio and Liliane were happy for us to relax at the B&B and for a small additional payment they let us keep our room during the afternoon so that we could use the pool and then shower and change and have a place to be during the afternoon.

Another nice touch was that in the rooms they had left a couple of books by Italian authors translated in to English that you could start to read… I've certainly found two new authors that I will be reading more books by!

I think a problem you can sometimes experience at a B&B is that you feel that you do not have your own space and you are aware that you are in someone else's house. That certainly was not the case at Villa Arianna and it was a wonderfully relaxing experience. As well as that though there was that definite sense that you were in a proper home and it struck a perfect balance between the sense of seclusion and privacy and the sense of experiencing a small part of Italian life. We had a really wonderful time.

We know that it would be a lovely place to return to and also a perfect place to take my partner's 6 year old - he'd love the garden, pool and play area. Maurizio and Liliane were perfect hosts and I am sure that anyone who chooses to stay there, couples or families, will have a wonderful time.

Myself and my husband were staying in a self-catering apartment across the road. Villa Arianna came highly reocmmended for dinner. We were treated to Lillianne home cooking (4 courses) plus local wine for a very reasonable price. The food was excellent and they were gracious hosts. Maurizo is very charming and full of advice for visitors in the area.
We didnt stay there however their rooms looking lovely, huge garden with swimming pool also.
The do 'events' also, wedding, christening etc.
