“A beautiful and welcoming guesthouse”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2010

We have stayed with Ruhsar and Nuket three times overall and are always welcomed as old friends. The Adacati Konukevi is beautifully furnished and decorated, with sensitive use of ornamentation and tasteful colour choices. The rooms are comfortable and peaceful, although only a few minutes' walk from the lively town centre. Both ladies are experts in the kitchen, and we are fortunate enough to have accompanied them on one of their daily visits to the local produce markets, and even to have received a cookery lesson! All food is, therefore, prepared daily with the freshest of ingredients and with the knowledgeable use of Turkish flavours and cooking methods, is invariably delicious. I try out some of their recipes at home from time to time! The multi-course, leisurely breakfasts make a wonderful start to the day. Both ladies are well-travelled and speak excellent English but they encourage our attempts to learn Turkish, and we have had many very enjoyable conversations, always learning so much about the culture of this great country. There is much to do in the surrounding area and we look forward to many return visits. we could not recommend this guesthouse and its owners more highly.

We had a great time. It was the best place in Alacati, Especially the breakfast they served was unique. The owners are very kind and try their best to make your stay memorable.

We stayed Adacatı guesthouse 7 days. They have only 4 rooms so you have to make your reservation in advance. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and well decorated. The lady, the owner of guesthouse is very friendly and careful. Guesthouse location is 5 minutes walk away from city centre, where night life lasts until 2:00 clock, that distance makes guesthouse very quite .When you are planning to stay in Alacatı, consider about hotel location. Turkish style breakfast is served, every morning they add different taste of Turkish cosine (like börek and menemen style scrambled egg) alongside that breakfast. The lady sometimes prepares very delicious dinner for their guest with very reasonable price, when you see the menu on blackboard during your stay, do not miss. They have served Turkish tea between 18:30 - 19:30 with some homemade cookies. Alacatı is new holiday destination of Turkish high end, so all accommodations and restaurants are highly priced, guesthouse room rate are lower than any other options.

We stayed in Adacati twice since last year. Both visits were wonderful. You will love the comfortable, beautifully decorated room in the old stone house. It gives you the nostalgic feeling of living in the lost Aegean villages with its lavender smelling, cotton curtains and lovely stone walls. Hotel is situated in an old street where Alacati inhabitants keep passing in front of your window and you can hear them talking about their daily life; playing with the dogs around, which is simply charming! Hotel owners are very welcoming; you will have delicious and well-served Aegean style breakfasts with lovely herbs, delicious cheese and olives, wonderfully cooked eggs and real tomatoes! Hotel garden is small but delightful. We plan to go to Adacati every year for a weekend or two. Only handicap is to find rooms in this small hotel! Reserve early.

  • Liked — decoration, breakfast
  • Disliked — no minibar in the room
