We visited with friends as a party of four on a Saturday night in January. It is certainly worth booking as the restaurant gets very busy, including the small bar area for take away customers to wait in. It was an excellent and unhurried evening. We all had the same set meal – the Emperor Banquet if I recall. Food was well prepared and tasty with plenty to eat – we couldn’t manage it all and had no room for dessert. The mixed starters and the duck pancakes were very enjoyable. Instead of a chicken, pork, prawn, beef and vegetable dish with special rice we received two prawn dishes but no beef dish – this was immediately spotted by the long-serving manager(?). We declined the unprompted offer to correct this. A good evening out but definitely allow 3 hours on a Saturday night if you are having a dessert.
