I went to tyrolean village just this past civic holiday, and it happened to be one of my worst cottaging experiences ever. I went with a group of my friends (15), and it was hardly adequate especially when its costing us 3, 500 dollars for the weekend. Their was one fridge, which broke down the first night and when the guy came to fix it, he mowned and complained that it was our fault we did all our shopping at once cause we knew we would be hammered all weekend. His response was to get more coolers, funny thing is everyone already had one full! they had two pans, no forks or knives but a million spoons. All the plumbing leaked! And not only that, the first night we arrived we got a noise complaint at 7pm, and then another one at 12 pm the next day. We were only trying to play some games in the back, and the hot tub that they provide (which is super ghetto) and supposadely were too loud to even talk! Basically you pay for a hastle, inconvenience and a terrible time. I would never go again!!!! all renters be where!

The customer rented the 9 bdrm. Executive style chalet which is around 4,500 sq ft in size, has 4 washrooms, 3 living rooms, outdoor hot tub and ping pong table. The price is based on approx. $65 per person per night, one of the best values you will ever find at Blue Mountain.

The customer was upset with his vacation because he was told on several occasions that he had to abide by normal behaviour standards. The Town of the Blue Mountains has a noise bylaw and Tyrolean Village Resorts asks its guests to behave in a way that does not disturb their neighbours enjoyment of the resort area.
In this case within 2 hours of check in, the neighbours called the office to complain about the loud and obnoxious behaviour of this customer. I asked our security department to go and talk to the customer and go over the noise by law with them and explain once more the basic rules of acceptable behaviour. The customer exhibited the stance that they would do whatever they wanted but eventually they listened to the security and agreed to calm down. Later that evening another noise complaint was received and the POLICE attended the property to warn them that they would be issued a fine unless they behaved themselves. Then on Sunday afternoon the neighbours again called to say the noise from the chalet was unbearable. At this point the security issued them a written warning and told the customer that if they have to return to the chalet they would be evicted. If this warrants a bad review on Trip Advisor then I guess we are at fault but we have a responsibility as resort owners to ensure that our tenants abide by the local noise bylaw which is enforced by the police throughout the municipality.
With respect to the complaint that the fridge did not work, every chalet has a standard size fridge and freezer. When maintenance was asked to look at the fridge by the customer, they opened the fridge and it was packed s full that all of the air circulation vents were blocked and it was impossible for the fridge to work. The maintenance manager then assisted the customer to re pack the fridge and explained to them that no fridge would ever work based on how overloaded the fridge was. The fridge worked perfectly well for the balance of the weekend after it was re packed.
With respect to there not being proper cutlery in the kitchen this is not correct, each chalet is checked after every booking in order to ensure that the fully equipped kitchen is fully stocked. In the event that a mistake has been made and something was forgotten Tyrolean Village has 24hr. onsite maintenance that is available to assist the customer and provide any maintenance services.
The hot tub is less than 3 years old, has a brand new cover and the water is changed after every customer. In this case I assume the customers were not showering before using the hot tub and probably there were also a number of drinks spilled in the hot tub. Our hot tubs are cleaned and the water is changed after every customer. We can not control how the customer uses the hot tub once they check in, if the water is not satisfactory after they have used the hot tub then this is from not showering before using the hot tub and from spilling drinks in the hot tub.
This customer experienced a bad time at Tyrolean Village Resorts for the sole reason that they thought they could party without any consideration for their neighbours. These type of customers are a thing of the past in the Town of the Blue Mountains, all guests must act in a responsible way and not adversely affect their neighbours enjoyment of the area. Unfortunately our enforcement of some basic rules on common decency towards your neighbours has resulted in an unfavourable review by this customer.
