The reason I decided to post this review is because I became overly frustrated with the way Scandinave Spa at Blue Mountain is treating his customers. My best guess is that there is no competition presently for them so they can impose whatever they want as long as they have customers.
This is our short story and I will let you decide if my assessment is correct or not.
Both myself and my wife booked a night at a local BB and were planning to book massage and have a relaxing day at Scandinave Spa - we were trying to celebrate my birthday.
I called the Spa (3 weeks in advance) and tried to book massage and they told me that they only have one spot for massage at 7:45 PM so I decided to book it for my wife. At the end of the day I thought that we may just go and let her have the massage while I will enjoy the hot tubs....
The 'customer service' rep on the phone started to tell me about some conditions that apply:
- your wife will have to check in 2-3 hours before the session (we will not be able to check her in earlier) and she will have to leave the facility after the massage since it will already be 8:45 and we close at 9
- knowing that there is a limited capacity for this facility I asked what happens if it's at full capacity the answer was, well... we will guaranty her a spot but only 3 hours before the massage.
- I asked, if you do that and since we are coming together what it will happen with me, am I going to have a spot as well the ANSWER: NO, we only can guaranty her a spot....
- my next logical question was, well what if we both come in the morning (when there is usually place) and we spend a full relaxing day out there? this way we can both get in and at the end of the day she can get the massage ANSWER: that would NOT be possible since she would only be allowed to check in 3 hours before the massage (and forgot to mention, from these 3 hours she should spend 30 minuted with the registration for the massage).
I personally think that this is a perfect example of a company that simply doesn't give a damn about customer satisfaction and does absolutely no effort to make things work for their customers.... Most likely due to no local competition....
We've finally decided to cancel our BB as well and we booked a hotel in US just south of the boarder where they offer great services (including spa) and for a much MUCH better price....
