After a hard day in the saddle we arrived at the very friendly oasis. Staff were very accommodating throughout the evening and the breakfast was absolutely perfect, especially the coffee, for yet another long day in the saddle. The room were more than adequate and the shower was excellent. All in all would recommend wholeheartedly.

Small, ok hotel in a very central place in heart of Makkum. Hotel's reception, bar and terrace were really nice but promised a bit too much about room. Room was quite small but we knew that before. More disturbing was thin walls through which one could hear all the noises. All the furniture was from Ikea, so quality was not that high one could expect at hotel. Anyway the room wasn't that bad, it was nicely decorated and bathroom pretty big.

Hotel had to have free Wifi but network was down whole time we spent there.

The restaurant of the hotel is really good and has got some rewards. We ate a great dinner there and therefore breakfast on following morning was bit of disappointment. At least they would need a toaster. We also missed fresh vegetables and fruits.

For one night stop it suited well but I would not recomended it for longer stay. Anyhow, Makkum is small town but worth to visit.

We arrived just before 4pm and found the hotel door closed, worth knowing they do not open until 4! We were on a cycling tour and had the weather been poor would not have wanted to wait around until then. Our room was comfortable enough but small, it reminded me of university halls accomodation, You can hear those above you when they move about. The hotel is very well located, which makes it easy to go out and look around as well as find a nice restaurant for an evening meal. Breakfast, served in the bar was fine but basic. Service was lacking - no-one asking if you would like more tea/coffee. On arrival we weren't asked if we would like to dine in so we didn't, there was a lovely pizzeria next door where the service was fantastic.

We were lucky to arrive for the start of the Town Festival. The Hotel was very well located in the centre of the small town near the few bars and shops around a lovely town square.
Room, located above the bar (no noise) where breakfast was served, was large modern with ensuite and TV. Breakfast was good and a great stopping point for our car tour through Europe
