Owner description: This historic neighborhood consists of wide, tree-lined streets with mansions built during the Edo Period, only six of which remain and are open to the public. The area is particularly beautiful in late April, when the cherry trees are in full bloom.

Samurai district is about 2 blocks long, but beautifully preserved. Visiting one or two of the homes is good, or all of them if it catches your imagination. This sleepy town also has a few amazing craft shops. Also, just a lovely location
