visited this hotel for a bite to eat and a drink and i must say WOW,
it was a sight for sore eyes. I had a hot chocolate drink and the chocolate and blueberry muffins, in the bar next to the fleming restaurant delicious. i must say that the workers put their time and effort into the new area. only one dissapointment i had to walk from the bus stop up the hill to the hotel but worth it. Would I go back hrere?

We booked 2 nights after our wedding and were not disappointed. We booked a suite which was very large with good sized living quarters including a dining area along with a fab four piece bathroom and large lux bedroom.

We had booked the dinner, bed and breakfast deal and found it very good value. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice and it does seem like the other reviewers were at different hotels!

We ate dinner there also which was very tasty and the service was very good.

Overall I would definately return here and request the same room as it was brill!!

Please think twice before staying at this hotel. Our whole family booked in to celebrate my wife's birthday.
The pool area looks dirty with green algae needing cleaned.
Waiting time for food can approach two hours - no kidding! This applies to dinner in the evening and lunch. We went to Glasgow rather than risk another dinner in the hotel.
The food leaves much tro be desired.
Be prepared to get your own cutlery, glasses etc.
The rooms are OK and breakfast is fine.
The management and staff recognise the shortcomings and did give us a sizeable reduction in the bill. However,to say that this is a four star hotel is a wild exageration.
It could be so different but our next family event will not be at the Westerwood.

Booked through Laterooms, the price of £75 B & B was good value, but although the hotel was nowhere near full, I was given a room about as far away from Reception as you could get, and carrying a heavy bag plus laptop and briefcase, this was not appreciated.
The room was lovely with a great bathroom equipped with separate shower and the room has tv with Sky Sports.
It does rip off guests by charging a horrendous £15 for a nights wi-fi, or £60 for a week - are they taking the Michael ?
Breakfast was average although service left a bit to be desired - no tea cup on the table, not bringing toast or tea etc..
It could be very good with better management.
