You can hardly fail in a region like Provence/Cote d'Azur and a euro camp has never failed to delight the kids. Nestled in a valley, 8km from the lovely Cogolin, 12km from the glam & over the top St Tropez and 2km from the sleepy village of La Mole, Pachacaid has enough for all the family. The site is dominated by a good size pool and seven water slides and has two good tennis courts, three table tennis tables, a beach soccer court, as well as archery, bikes for hire, a little climbing wall, fun stations for tots, a well-stocked shop, a disco for teens and a club. The main attraction of course is the sun, making the AC with our canvas holidays caravan a real joy at times. Still, the place looks tired and needs a lick of paint and some refurbishment. It feels a little grimy. The entertainers work hard, while the pool guys & gals can be a little over zealous and it ain't cheap at the bar and cafe - there are two on sight (they sell main meals, hot snacks, crepes etc). Our van was quite close to the main complex, which meant we didn't have to walk far up the steep paths and roads where others were sited, but it did mean u were woken earlyish by poolside aerobics europop and went to bed listening to the same from the 'soundproofed' disco, which the kids just loved. Be careful driving up the mountain road shortcut to the beaches, although an amazing view from the top, but do get up early and enjoy le petit dejeuner at la mole boulangerie for four euros, doesn't look much, but great little place. Also cogolin is lovely with a big supermarket and good restaurants and if the festival's on when you go, go native, great stuff. There's lots to do out and about if you are prepared to drive and so worth it. This bit of France is gorgeous, loads of beaches, great sea swimming, as well as lovely little villages in the hills, eg la mimosas and grimaud. If you've got kids though you are on to a winner, by staying here!
