“What are the seats for?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

There are certain places a sports fan will always want to experience and as one who has had a soft spot for Man U since I first saw them play in the 1968 European Cup final this was one that had to be done before I died. To also get first hand exposure to the Stretford end was a bonus or so I thought.

Man U supporters at the Stretford End are passionate, and noisy and show a deference to those they worship.....they stand in their presence. Just like in a courtroom as the judge is ushered in or to the entry of a king/queen, everyone rises. And stays risen until the team departs the scene. Makes one hanker after the old crash barriers there used to be on terraces before Hillsborough.

On the plus side, the view is excellent with no obstructions to view. The toilets are clean and adequate in number and the food stalls work efficiently. Entry and exit was relatively easy and well marshalled.

Around the ground there are numerous statues many well executed with the images of Best, Charlton and Law, and the great Sir Matt. Not sure I would be very impressed if I was Alex Ferguson.

As for the display on the pitch, they might get a high score for making it exciting but the quality of play was below par, but at least I have made the pilgrimage.

“No leg room!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

Sat in away supporters area. Expensive seat but no leg room. I am only 5'11" and i could not sit down without turning sideways!! Agony for for whole match and bad back next day!!!! I had looked forward tovisiting this stadium for several years but I will not be back. Very dissappointing atmosphere from home fans who seemed to be mostly Japanese.

“Brilliant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

Great - enjoyed the game, prices not too bad compared with a lot of grounds in and around London. Parking was easy to find and again pretty cheap. One of those places if you are a footie fan you have to go and see - the tunnel with the memorial stuff was really well done. Stairs are a bit of a pain but I guess that is what you get with a big ground.

“Good Seats But Poor Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

Any trip to Old Trafford to see Man U is exciting. We were in Salford 2 Hospitality Suite and was very well looked after by the helpful staff but the quality of the food let it down a little. I was in corporate hospitality 3 years ago with Nationwide BS and the food was over cooked then too. The location of the padded seats was excellent. Obviously, getting in and around Manchester in a car match day is a nightmare so maybe taking the train is the way to go however I have never used this method.
