“Well at least there was hot water”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

A below average experience in this hotel. The perenial problems of previous smokers in the room so they stink. I found this hotel particularly noisy, not just the road noise but the noisy closing of doors and shouting of the other guests until around 1am each night.
Yes very hard bed (but thats normal), and dirty carpets.
Standard Chinese breakfast but you could get toast - I didnt see any coffee.
I couldnt get the aircon to "heat" so I was cold.

I am staying for business on a very regular basis in this hotel.
The hotel is one of the best you can get in Loudi.
Rooms are quiet big (ask for a non smoking room on 14 or 15th floor).
I give it a very good, although cleanliness can certainly be improved, but the hotel staff is very friendly and is doing its best to speak english (at the front desk you have always some persons able to speak english).
City centre of Loudi can be reached by taxi (10 minutes ride - around 8 RMB)

Room Tip: Ask for room on 14th or 15th floor. If the matras is too hard, do not be afraid to ask for another...

Typical higher end non-western hotel with rock hard beds, worn furnishings, dirty carpets and no coffee in room or at breakfast (just tea).

On the plus side they have a fresh eggs and noodle soup table at breakfast and spacious rooms. The location is good but very loud owing to traffic. Internet (CAT 5 cable only no wifi) is a bit slower than average for China but can handle voice only Skype.

I was there when the hotel has opened in 2008, since this date the carpet has not been changed and has now big stains everywhere (and mainly in the room for breakfast..
Bed are allways very hard !!
Breakfast seems not so good than at the beginning
WiFi connection (by cable) is very slow and half of the sites are censored
In conclusion there are now new hotels which have opened in mid town with more life around.

apparently best in LouDi City (had booked Bonny int'l but from LouDi train station, cost to Bonny was over 200 RMB as it's in another district! ) Hotel staff were very nice, English level OK, made myself understood, argued price and got just under 300RMB.
It is not 5 star due to small details, but it was a very good experience, clean, good breakfast, Chinese style, rooms large and bathroom clean albeit small. have nothing to say against hotel, but small details make it not a 5 star. If you are ever in LouDi, this is the only place to stay. As for other comment about hard beds, well, they are, but no harder than most in China. No complaints. RMB 9 to 12 for ride to or from train station. And excellent free internet connection. Just bring your cable! no wifi. But you need to ctc hotel directly as no English hotel booking sites have this hotel on line! tel. [--]. They take credit cards, no problem. Walmart within walking distance,

This hotel is a new one

advantages :
clean, the rooms are big, equipped with TV (only 1english channel on 25). Breakfast with different choices (even sausages + bacon !).
It's not expensive (around 25 €/night with breakfast)

drawbacks:
internet connexion was free but very very slow
beds are very hard, but whatever the hotel you go in Loudi it will be the same

  • Liked — cheap, clean, rather confortable
  • Disliked — internet connexion speed, and very hard bed
