“Luxury with the coolest vibe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

If you want a truly memorable stay look no further than Casa Colleverde. A feast of stunning detail both in the house, the outside areas & the breathtaking views. You will never see a more beautiful pool. The warmest welcome from the lovely hosts & of course their charming sidekick Sam.

Distinctive and beautiful fragrance in our room.

Pamper yourself in these beautiful surroundings, relax at the house & then take in all that the Cinque Terre has to offer. You will be well rewarded for the drive up to the top of the hill.

Hosts Simon and Carmello (and Sam of course) provide an unparalleled experience. Their home is stunning, as is the view, and the meals were exceptional. We enjoyed each evening that we spend dining with them and other guests. Their home is challenging to find - be sure to following the instructions they provide and turn off the GPS - it will be much easier that way.

We had a wonderful time at Casa Colleverde. Simon, Carmelo and Sam the dog are great hosts and make you feel really welcome. The three suites are spacious and beautifully decorated with loads of hangers and wardrobe space. The bathroom is large with a big walk-in shower and bath.
Each morning Sam, the Norfolk terrier greets you with a wagging tail which for us is a nice start to the day! Breakfast can be either taken on the balcony looking at the amazing view or taken at the breakfast bar chatting with Simon and Carmelo. If you choose to spend a lazy day by the pool Simon can rustle up a delicious lunch (he is a great cook). The pool area has the most amazing view overlooking the sea and the valley below - a perfect spot for relaxing and having a sundowner watching the sunset.

You are a short drive away from the beach and not too far from the Cinque Terre which is definitely worth visiting. Simon and Carmelo are more than willing to recommend walk sand restaurants in the area.

I highly recommend hiring a car - when arriving for the first time you may think you have taken a wrong turn but carry on going up, up, up as far as the road can take you and you will arrive at Casa Colleverde. It's less than an hour from Pisa airport so perfect for long weekends.

We will definitely be returning as soon as we can.

What a fantastic upscale B&B on the casp between Tuscany and Liguria , only 50 min from Pisa airport. Simon and Carmelo are great hosts and will upon request cook dinner for you if you don't fancy to eat out. The property is very modern with enormous rooms and spacious bathrooms. Great pool with stunning view all around all the way to the sea. The resident Norfolk terrier , Sam . Is adorable. Will definitely be back and take over the whole place with friends!

We stopped at Simon and Carmelo's B and B -en route from switzerland to Cortona- for just one night.. and it was perfect-
We were welcomed very warmly (despite arriving late )and were given a delicious dinner , after we'd soaked up the incredible view from the terrace with a beer and glass or 2 of chilled white wine- we watched sun set and felt VERY lucky to have been recommended this super place.
The house is exceptionally striking and the owners have been very clever at restoring the house and in every aspect benefitting from its fantastic posïtion... the rooms are all superbly decorated, masses of space and all the house has an elegant feel with wonderful art to admire, Our bedroom* had a huge bathroom , (comfy bath and big powerful shower), from it*you can step outside to the pool area- again great design and the garden planted with many lovely plants-
Breakfast was delicious, after a super walk from the house up into the hills- accompanied by Sam , the adorable Norfolk terrier, we struggled to leave such a charming place with charming hosts- we do hope to return one day soon !

Room Tip: not sure of name - but ALL are superb

We stayed for 5 days in late October 2012. This place looks amazing and feels unique....a really lovely mix of design hotel / friendly B&B / staying with friends.

Simon and Carmelo were perfect hosts - providing great tips for days out and local restaurants, cooking (fresh and locally sourced) food for us on request and making us feel very welcome. The house itself is a design triumph with stunning views and a beautiful pool. Spotlessly clean too. Being on the border of Liguria and Tuscany there are many interesting day trips within striking distance - Florence, Pisa, La Spezia, Lerici, Cinque Terre, Portofino to name a few.

Highly recommended.

We stayed for 5 nights at this wonderful hotel on the recommendation of another hotel owner in Tuscany. It was outstanding as we knew it would be! The decor is gorgeous with every detail accounted for and the views are absolutely amazing including sea and hillsides. The sunset on the Terrace is not to be missed. Its always nice to stay in a spotlessly clean, newly renovated and immaculate place and we enjoyed the comfort and luxury so much that it was difficult to tear ourselves away to expore the surrounding areas. Casa Colleverde is very well situated as its a close drive to Pisa, Lucca, La Spezia and some other gorgeous seaside towns. We had the best of both worlds since we we're right between Liguaria and Tuscany. We explored the Cinque Terra which is close by, dined in Forte dei Marmi, walked the streets of La Spezia and enjoyed a brief drive into Tuscan countryside. Most of the time however was spent soaking up the sun and enjoying cocktails at the beautiful Casa Colleverde swimming pool. Our hosts Simon and Carmelo were kind, helpful and made us feel right at home whilst catering to our every wish. Simon ensured that we were well fed and made the most fantastic meals including home baked bread, home made ice cream, sumptious BBQ, amazing pastas and salads and the not to be missed watermelon and basil martinis! It was a real treat!

The experience here is what you want it to be, it can be social with the other guests sharing drinks or a meal or it can be completely private and romantic. We enjoyed both these aspects during our stay.

Highly recommended venue for couples or groups of friends holidaying together.

Room Tip: We stayed in the ground floor suite with a separate living room, large bedroom and fully fitted bath...
