We stayed at Corte Pattana for 5 nights and had a perfect stay. The bedroom was a good size, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was lovely, power shower, big mirrors, plenty of space. Everything was very clean. The air con was also fantastic, not too noisey and kept the room beautifully cool. Breakfast was very simple, croissants, bread rolls, fruit, yoghurt, cereals, orange juice, fresh coffee. I liked the fact it had more of a rustic italian feel rather than in-your-face over the top style which was the case in another local hotel we went to. Location wise, you are a 2 minute walk from the main square in pietrasanta and a five minute walk from the train station. If you want to go to beaches then I would say hiring a car would be ideal but we used public transport which was very efficient.
Thank you for a lovely stay. Definitely recommend!
Riding hot MrP stumbled on this B&B whilst asking someone for directions to another hotel! Great find the owner very charming let us put the bike in the courtyard. He also gave us great directions for restaurants which he seemed to know quite a bit about! The breakfast which was self service was boring although the croissants were good! The room was small, nicely decorated but just fine for two and panniers. Would have stayed longer but unfortunately there was no availability! Pietra Santa is FAB & the home of BOTERO for couples of months of the year!
Pros: Clean, modern, comfortable bed, great bathroom, close to center, good heating if required, congenial host speaks some English
Cons: Small bedroom, road noise, uninspired continental breakfast
The efficiency of a modern building is offset by its lack of any particular charm. We stayed in the "Poppy" room which was very cramped for two people and two suitcases. The room overlooks the road, not in the pedestrian zone, and while not a main highway, there was still noticeable noise from cars and the ubiquitous motor scooters. It's possible the rooms on the ground floor are larger and quieter.
After leaving the B&B we had booked because it was inaccessible, we stumbled upon Corte Pattana and are we glad we did! This little gem is right in the middle of beautiful Pietrasanta. The rooms are lovely, clean with excellent bathrooms. The hosts couldn't be nicer and Mauro does a great job with English as he makes our morning coffee. Great location, quiet and comfortable and excellent value.
