After seeing this place highly recommended on both Lonely Planet and Wikitravel we decided to give it a go. Upon entering the owner strolled across from the bar across the road and said he'd had no customers all day, so he was delighted to have us and immediately gave us some of his home made whole wheat bread to try - which was delicious. We stayed for dinner after the owner told us many people walk away when they see the prices of his food, "but best ingredients from Bangkok" he told us. Dishes are pricey but you get a good portion of food. We opted for fried bean nachos and beef tostados. Both very tasty but the beef was somewhat minimal so don't order that expecting a hearty mouthful of red meat. The home made salsa was delicious and the tostados dish came with corn-on-the-cob which was really well cooked. Overall I'd say definitely pay them a visit if your budget stretches that far and you want something different from Thai food.
