My family went to pico de loro to have our well deserved vacation. From the looks on their website it looks like this is the place to visit. Scenic views going to the place is just exhilirating. We were adviced by our friend who was just there that we can cook food in our rented unit. Sure enough we brough some cold cuts and cooked food for our lunch and breakfast the following morning. We planned on eating dinner at one of their restaurant just to sample a taste of what they offer. At first the dining area of Lagoa looks great. They offer indoor and outdoor dining with what looks like a good selection of Filipino and international food. We thought that our experience with the Pico is about to get better but lo and behold our expectations suddenly changed to worst with the poor restaurant service. The waiting time to get a table was quite ok 15 mins is not bad. Once we are settled we ordered a good number of dishes from their selection. We requested for water which arrived after 15 minutes. An hour past and still no food was served. The nieces of my wife are joking that if and when they go back here they will bring signs that say self service since they had to get their own water from the dispenser instead of waiting for their waiters. Our kids fell asleep waiting for the food and started to get cranky.To make matters worst the lights went out and it didn't turn on for a good 15 minutes. I walked up and asked for the manager who incidentally was also the one who took our order and told him are they planning to serve us some food or should we just leave? Once the food was served it was cold. French fries were soggy. everything taste bland. The manager offered us free slice of cake for the inconvenience. After a few minutes we saw him bring out a few more plates of cake slices to offer to the other irate customers. For a hefty price they served us crap. If you wish to come to Pico just bring your own food and cook.

“Serious Customer Service Training Needed”

When we went there to eat at around 1PM on Saturday, the staff were not sure on what food can still be served. As per the cashier (lady), the restaurant can only serve snacks at that time while the waiters mentioned that they can still serve lunch food (fried chicken, rice, etc). They need get their info straight. We asked one of the waiters to clean the table where we wanted to have lunch. He tried to clean it but left it undone. He left the table with a few leftover food to clean-up and went to the cashier's desk to do other work. My wife asked for another waiter to continue cleaning the table and we even mentioned to him that the other waiter did not finish cleaning it.
We ordered for fried chicken. The chicken was not cooked well. There was still blood in it. The gravy with the fried chicken did not taste well. It tasted like an old cooked sauce. The staff looked very unaccommodating. I know they might have come from a busy lunch shift but this does not give any staff a reason to show that they are tired and could not welcome more guests. They lack enthusiasm.The staff at the Country Club were unprofessional when they speak to their peers. Customers can hear it. One of the waiters during breakfast did not have the sense of customer service. I asked for water and he just raised his hand. Signaling me that he cannot accommodate my request at the moment. I looked for another waiter to get my drinking water for my kids.

“Just ok”

They only serve buffet when we were there at dinner time, but on off-hours they server ala-carte. The choices for ala-carte was better than what they served during dinner time.
