Everything went great with my family, rooms were good and food was reasonably priced. It was just a hassle to leave my driver‘s license at the gate. For sure will come back this summer. All in all, not perfect but I‘d give this stay a 4 star.

After reading reviews from tripadvisor, we decided to give Canyon Cove a try. Went there last December 2 to 3 using a voucher we purchased from an online site. Check in time was 3pm but we got there at around before 2pm and immediately got our room.

Room was spacious and clean, aircon was working fine, bathroom didn't have hot water though and we got a note from the staff saying that their water heater was currently being repaired. No toothpaste and toothbrushes provided. The towels on the bathroom looks a bit worn out but clean. The view from our room was great as it was situated facing the ocean and got a spectacular view of the sunset. There was a daybed included in the standard room, spacious enough if there were four of us staying in the room.

The pools were clean and towels for pool use was also provided. The beach on the other hand had a lot of broken shells and small rocks on the shore. Not a very good idea to walk barefoot on the sand. There were a lot of rocks underwater too..didn't get to swim farther out since I'm not sure what I might step on if I did. Lifeguards available and is visible on the beach. Use of pools and swimming on the beach is from 6am to 6pm only. No night swimming and the beach is not lighted at night. Not much activities to do. Tried kayaking and saw some try the banana boat and the jet ski. Beach volley area is also available.

After reading some of the reviews regarding the food on the resort, we headed out to the nearest town for dinner. Breakfast was included in our voucher but unfortunately, what they say about the food was true. Plated breakfast included pork tocino, a cup of rice and scrambled egg with a choice of juice or coffee. Hubby decided to try out the breakfast buffet with an additional 150 pesos for an upgrade. Buffet wasn't that great either. We managed to bring in some snacks and bottled water since they don't check your bags anyway.

Overall, our experience with canyon cove was pretty smooth. They really should put more effort in maintaining the beach.

location is good, very huge place, beach is quite ok few steps, more it is rough already. Rooms are spacious but not clean, room temperature is poor, maybe the AC does not support the whole space. But one thing that disappointed us was the pool, it's so filthy and dirty! it looks good because it's huge very attractive to see but once you dip on it, i could say, "no way!" Food not that good but very expensive but the first time you see the place, you can say "wow" but once you go to their rooms, and dip in the pool, ah.. you'll think about it. Not anymore amazing.

Our family stayed in this resort for an overnight stay last January and June 2012. Room smells old and air condition duct is dirty. Every little thing needed in the room (towels, linen for daybed, toothbrush, toothpaste) is not prepared. I have to call the room service for that. Rooms are nice when the balcony is facing the beach. But beware along the corridors and pathways, you might get slipped if you're not careful enough. There are some leakage above the ceiling especially when it rains. Oh the FOOD! It's expensive (P650 buffet, exclusive of drinks) yet taste so.......never mind! Beach area is so so. No snorkeling area because there's nothing to see under water. The only thing I enjoyed is the nice and large swimming pool but no night swimming. Overall, the resort is photogenic enough to have your holiday/vacation pictures taken :)

We got ourselves a voucher from one of those online sites, and we decided to use it during the long weekend. After reading thru the reviews posted here, we still decided to give it a try.

We reached the hotel sometime after lunch, upon checkin we learned that there was a mix up. They didn't have our reservations for that they, I was quickly asked to talk to their reservations desk and asked for clarifications which was quickly acted upon. Since check-in time was 3PM, the kids decided to run to the pool area and take a dip while I waited for our room. We got our room around 2PM, and quickly checked the room. The room was big enough to accommodate 5 of us, the aircon worked OK. Hot water worked, the toilet flushed. :-)

I immediately went down to our car to get some of our things - juice, milk, soda, chips, etc. Surprisingly, they didn't check our bags which was sort of a plus. And I noticed that a lot of people brought in their own also.

The pool was big, and clean and there were lifeguards around. The beach area was also clean, and we enjoyed kayaking (which came free with the voucher). The service at the lobby, pool area, restaurant and dive shop was OK. No hassles

Come dinner time.... as expected, food was expensive. We decided before hand to go to Dalampasigan (that's for another review). At breakfast the kids came at 50% off plus the 20% discount that came with the voucher, which was a good deal. Breakfast was "just ok", the choices were fried rice, scrambled egg, pansit, boneless bangus, sausages, champorado and goto. Plus mixed fruits, orange juice and coffee. I wished they served brewed batangas coffee (its Batangas!) but there was only 3-in-1 coffee and also Batangas tapa.

You could also say that the location of the resort is a big plus, a short drive away is Mang Inasal, Chowking, Dalampasigan, Andoks, Mercury drug, 711 to name a few. And also the bus terminal (for those commuting).

The resort management should seriously review the feedback from their guest especially food pricing.

All in all, the resort is worth another visit.

Canyon Cove is a private resort which is 10 minutes from the town. Its got a well maintained resort outside but not the inside. You cant fault the view and pool area but the rooms are old, daggy and smelly. It needs some serious renovations..

The resort is not allowing any food or drinks bought outside which i really hated. The breakfast buffet is okay if you are born Pilipino but to foreigners like my husband is terrible. He couldnt even eat the omelette.

The staffs are okay...But i don't think i'll be back here again. If you are a family with children who loves swimming, then this is a nice place to take the children to unwind and if your are not fussy person when it comes to cleanliness and can tolerate the bad smell, then Canyon Cove is all perfect for you..

We went here for a short holiday trip. We enjoyed the ride going to Nasugbu, especially we have to pass by in Tagaytay area. Too bad we did not enjoy the view that much because of the fog that came as early as lunchtime, well maybe because of the typhoon. The place is very convenient to visit considering that we only spent 4 hours, including that more than an hour stopover at Tagaytay to have our lunch. Upon reaching the place, my first impression was the facade facing the car park is too plain. I’ve noticed some vacant or abandoned nearby villas but forgot to ask if these are still part of the resort. They could have converted it to paintball field instead so they can maximize this huge space. Upon entering the lobby, I must admit that I had a wrong notion earlier. The lobby is so spacious and their concierge is too organized. It only took as about 10 minutes for us to register and check in. The room that we got is too spacious as well but sadly it was positioned quite far from the pool and beach area. It’s a nice idea that beach towels are inclusive in the fees we paid so we need not to worry on bringing one. The pool area is really huge and spacious, despite of being a bit crowded that time still, we managed to swim and enjoy it. They have enough lifeguards to secure the beach and the pool area. The food is “so-so” for a buffet price of 600++ per head. Overall, the place will give you a taste of little Bahamas and Macau (well because of that elegant facade outside their lobby near the beach). Perfect enough for some picture takings. The staffs are courteous and really quick to respond with your requests, they just need to improve on their choice of menu.

Room Tip: Choose a Deluxe room at center wing area for convenience.
