“Interesting Place, yet to be developed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2012

We visited Egerton Castle while staying at Kembu. It is currently owned and managed by the Egerton University. The place has a very interesting history and is also nice to visit. It is a copy of a castle in England built to impress a lady. After 60 years of vandalism and neglect it is currently being kept and plans are made for restoration, however the funding is not in place.

There is a stiff entrance fee for non-residents, 10 usd, ten times the amount for residents. The 10 dollars is not worth it, but you can negotiate the entrance fee, then it's an interesting visit..
