We regularly visited this pub and had lunch there over a period of about 5 years then the owner left and although some of the staff tried to keep it going it was a disaster the one time we called there. We heard it had new ownership and decided to give it a try. We went a week ago Saturday and just had baguettes so cannot comment on the actual cooking of a meal but these were very nice. Not a long wait and everyone seemed friendly. The only thing that put me off was a youngish chap that came in with a very large dog - mega large and took it off the lead. The dog behaved okay but I am completely paranoid about dogs especially large ones and it just made me uncomfortable and I would certainly not take my grand children to the Bull. I suppose you get considerate dog owners who realize not everyone is enraptured with dogs and then you get the arrogant kind who think its fine to have it off the lead and will say no they never bite - until they get an off day!! Also I noticed after the waiter served us our food he stroked the dog - it was after he had served, but hygiene??
