stayed here for a weekend in dec 09 - three rooms bnb - six persons. fantastic half price deal on superbreak - upon arrival late evening the reception area was very busy with Christmas party goers but it was reasonably civilised and you could not hear them in your room
Hotel very convenient for Trafford Centre and we were at a match,so again very handy for man u.
Rooms were cosy and well equipped, if not the most modern.
Breakfast was good and so was the service, gym looked good and bar was adequate, would return here no problem and would recommend, good Chinese restaurant nearby

Arrived for a weekend stay to be told that Sunday breakfast would be finishing at 9.30am: when asked why I was told there as a wedding fair on the Sunday. When I asked why I had not been informed, the receptionist just shrugged her shoulders and did not talk any more.We were later telephoned from reception to be told that breakfast was in fact ending at 10.30: far more reasonable.

The rooms are OK, but showing signs of tiredness now. There was a wedding on the Saturday, but we were not disturbed, although I know it continued until very late.

Ordered a newspaper, but tfound out hey dont deliver them to your room, you have to collect them from reception,as the eekend papers are heavy.

Needed disabled parking, but all the bays were filled by 'people' without blue badges, again reception could offer no assistance.

Probably would not stay here again.

Just came back from spending the night at Novotel Manchester West.
The hotel is ideally located, whether you want to go shopping or go to any football or rugby match. The car park is spacious and secure, the doors are even locked at night.
There is an outdoor swimming pool and a "very new looking" gym, with all the equipment you can think of. The bar is very spacious and modern looking, so is the restaurant. We went out and came back after the restaurant had closed but ordered room service, as the menu was the same as the food served in the restaurant. The food was very nice and came in a timely manner. The room was clean and spacious but the air conditioning was not working and it was a bit hot but we survived!!!...
The lady at reception was very nice and helpful, but unfortunately we can't remember her name, sorry...
We enjoyed our stay very much and with no doubt will be using again if in the area.
Thank you very much for a lovely stay.

We stayed here whilst attending a wedding at the Hyatt over the road, and were pleasantly surprised with the standard and quality we recieved for only £59 per night, for a double room with breakfast included. The rooms were large and clean, with tv, sofa, storage and large bathroom with seperate toilet. Although ours had a standard shower, some friends who also booked for the same rate got a double headed waterfall shower - very fancy!! The toiletries were very good quality too.
The downside was: the bed had 2 very small pillows so not very comfortable, no air con so it was really hot (even on a rainy Manchester weekend) - we opened the window which made it even worse as we seemed to be facing the delivery/rubbish courtyard, so we were woken by trucks outside our window!!
Still, the breakfast was fantastic - loads of choice and pretty tasty too!!
I would definitely recommend this hotel, although I would ask for a first or second floor room this time - we were lower ground. If you can find the same internet deal that we did, it is a real steal!
Also worth pointing out - the gym looked quite good, and also an outdoor pool, if you get a sunny afternoon it looked nice!

This hotel is a brilliant hotel in the area of Worsley in Manchester West. It is in a great location near to the Trafford Centre and Manchester centre. The rooms are spacious and ours had a sepereate bathroom and a seperate toilet too! The breakfasts were amazing! They had everything! 5 flavours of juice, two types of toast, bacon, fried, eggs, scrambled eggs, hash browns, tomatoes, mushrooms, nuts, berries, fruit, cheese, ham, crackers, yoghurts, lots of different cereals and lots more. There is also the option to pay a little extra and watch tv whilst eating your breakfast wioth headphones. There is also a bar and a restaurant for tea time meals (which we didn't use, but it all looked very nice..fish and chips, burgers, that sort of thing!) There were also morning newspapers on the front desk and very friendly staff. It also had quite a lot of business rooms with lots of space and with electronic door systems which looked very executive. The village in which it is situated, Worsley, is just the cutest place it has lots of historic buildings and very cute old english pubs! Overall, an excellent stay!

After reading the last review for this hotel i was abit worried about what we had let ourselves into, i shouldnt have worried. As you enter the hotel a lovely entrance lobby welcomes you, very modern plants & decor. The reception staff were very helpful & we were checked in within minutes. We found our room which was at a very quiet end of the hotel, the room was lovely & very clean. Loads of tea/coffee & milk, loads of towels & smellies. The bathroom is split into 2, seperate toilet which is ok and yes maybe the decor in there wasnt fab but hey its a toilet & it was clean. The other half of the bathroom was lovely with modern sink, bath with shower (shower head the size of a dustbin lid!). The other nice touch in the room is the tv which has a lead for mp3 players so you can play sound through tv & you get a good handful of tv channels including sky sports news which my husband was very pleased with, but the other cool thing was for £9.99 for 24 hours you got unlimited films, prob 30 to choose from, unlimited broadband use either though tv or plug you laptop in. We then went and checked out the restaurant area, the food was very nice but maybe slightly pricey, burgers and chips £10.95, cup of tea £2.50 but good variety on offer. There was an xbox 360 with fifa for the kids to play on, went down well & free internet access for 20 mins at a time. Theres also a kids play area outside whichis very secure and plenty of grounds for kids to play, there is a pool but its feb so didnt try that..... there is some works going on at hotel as they are building a gym but work didnt start that early in the morning so wasnt a problem. Breakfast was superb, buffet style with hot bacon, eggs, scrambled eggs, sausage, black pud, heinz beans, tomato, hash brown, mushrooms & plenty of toast. Also croissants, baguttes & danish pastries, cold meat & cheese. yoghurts, orange & apple juice & choice of cereal, FAB ! You also get a free newspaper in the morning which s the independent, bit deep for me. This hotel is right of the motorway so within mins you are back on and off to trafford centre in 10 mins, city centre 15 mins. i thought this was a lovely hotel & will def go back when we next want to visit manchester.
