“Great Hotel.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2009

Very good hotel, don't listen to negative comments, like my baby good sick (it's not hotels fault, can happen to anyone). I am a very picky eater (I am an athlete), however was surprised to find good food (you can eat clean if you want to, ie salads, turkey, chicken). The biggest minus is that the hotel and the rooms are outdated, but I never stayed in the room so it didn't matter to me, just to sleep. The beach is great, lots of water sport activites, I wind surfed the whole time.....Overall great value for the experience!

We have just got back from 1 weeks stay from 10 17 june . We booked for a room in the main biulding .We didnt have a sea veiw but it was fine as we didnt spend much time in the room. Air-con was very good as it was very hot . The food was very nice and there was loads of choice with chiniese , pizza and barbeques .the only thing with drove us mad at breakfast they keeped playing the same music every day , we ate out side the rest of the time which was lovely . We always managed to get a sunbed by the pool ,the beach was a bit of a let down as it was very pebbley . Most of the staff were very nice nicos on reception was lovely . There was only one very missrable lady lady with blonde hair on the bar out side at night who seamed to eggnor the english waiting at the bar untill all the germans had been served . On our day of departure we had a free curtesey room so we could have a shower . All in all it was a very good hotel and will go back again

Just returned from a weeks stay (June 10 - 17). Found the hotel to be very clean & staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent with loads of choices, even the fussiest person would be hard pressed not to find something to eat! Lunch had loads of choices, bbq on the beach, chinese by the pool or pizza, salad and normal lunch food in the snack area. Could always find a table and the staff work hard to clear the tables quickly. In the evening, the childrens buffet is in the far end of the restaurant but children are welcome anywhere in any of the restaurants. There were loads of choices of drink at all times, kids cocktails, cocktails, spirits, beer, soft drinks, hot drinks etc. Swimming pools were great but did contain cold sea water so you had to brave it and get in quickly and then you were fine! Animation team worked extremely hard all day and night and put on some really good shows with very impressive dancers. Because we went in low season we found it all very relaxing - not having to rush to get sunbeds or tables or chairs for the shows but imagine as it gets busier this could become an issue. The beach was nice but we hardly went on it because the sand was shingle and did hurt your feet! Sea water was clear and quite warm. Water sports available at an additional cost were excellent. The water park opposite the hotel was fantastic - well worth a visit and again being in low season was brilliant because we didnt have to queue for the rides. We had food there, although we could have ordered a packed lunch from the hotel, The water park food was cooked to order and was very reasonable. The hotel is on a main road and there isnt much around it except a couple of shops and a bar so the 4 of us got a taxi to Faliraki for 5 Euros whereas the bus would have cost 4 euros! There is a supermarket in the hotel where you could buy everything you needed and even presents for people at home if you didnt want to venture out! We stayed in an annexe at the side of the hotel which was fine and had a kitchen in it that we didnt expect or use, apart from the fridge! The hotel caters for many nationalities, russian, german, italian, french etc and they could be a little noisy when going back to their rooms at night, but then either we got used to it or they calmed down! We met some fantastic english people whilst we were there which made it an even better holiday!! Overall brilliant holiday and would recommend it and would love to go back again!

Really pleased with our stay in this hotel. Paid about £450 each for a week at end of Sept/start of Oct, including flights from the UK and all inclusive basis and it was well worth the money. Continent 3 star definitely, don't expect more, and I wouldn't stay longer than a week, but it is good for the price.

Rooms are ok, the decor looks dated, but seems strangley new-ish. We paid for a full sea view in the main building and I get the impression these rooms are the nicest so it was worth the money and the view from the balcony was gorgeous. We got changed in a courtesy room in the side-sea-view-part of the main building and it was a lot worse - mostly bad lighting but wouldn't have liked staying there at all. Think it had a dated kitchenette which is a bit grotty in a bedroom and it was something I was keen to avoid when we booked.

It was great to have the choice of two pools and the beach so close. Loungers were free of charge and always easy to find a free one; however the ones in the better spots for all day sunbathing did go early.

Food was great for the price. Always lukewarm and nothing fancy and can get repetitive but as long as you are realistic about that it was pretty good and better than expected. Loads of choice at lunch - beach bar bbq was nice but a lot of bone-y/dfatty meats. Chinese bar was great, loads of fresh nicely cooked vegetables and great for a change. Regular buffet had a fair bit of choice and the pizza bar bit was great - loads of choice. Buffet meals at night were as expected save for a restaurant staff member serving a different meat every night, carved in front of you. Good quality meat, very lean and tasty and variety every night. Otherwise the buffet wouldn't have been great on its own.

Drinks were good, yes they serve them in plastic half pint glasses, but they have no problem giving you 4 drinks every time you go to the bar. Local beer is nice. The wine less so - never cold enough. The cocktails are nice for a change but very sweet.

Entertainment was ok, took place in the nightclub as it was getting chilly outside and hence it was incredibly difficult to get a seat unless you were very early. Disco in the nightclub after till 2am every night - cheesy but fun. Think the all inclusive drinks stopped at 12am, but you can always get a couple in before then.

We travelled with Thomas Cook and never saw our rep the whole time - no welcome meeting invite, didn't turn at alloted time etc which was a downside.

It is really easy to go into Rhodes town - bus just outside hotel. Lovely town, very modern, great shops and restaurants, lovely harbour. Watch out for friendly timeshare sellers with their scratchcards unless you want to waste up to a day of your holiday.

Faliraki wasn't worth a trip in at off-season time, it was a bit of a ghost town, no craic, no people, a lot of places shut at night.

The hotel is a huge building with 700 rooms on a very good beach. We stayed there on half-board and we found the food to be superb. The rooms were very clean but the air-con was not very efficient and it was very hot. In general the hotel is clean but it's amenities are not up to a 4 star quality. It had only three lifts for 700 rooms. However we had a very exciting holiday there and I can recommend this hotel especially to families.
