Rhodes is not without beauty and it certainly has in the Elysium a hotel which should make the island proud. I only stayed in the elite section which was perfect in terms of the service amenities and foods. The noble restaurant is unbelievably good should have a Michelin star.
All my expectations were meet

Recently attended wedding in Rhodes with magificant reception at Elysium. Wonderful experience with check in and ensuring all our needs met....and food offerings amazing. Chef deserves our compliments along with Conceirge desk and the staff of the Elite Club.

Our trip was made difficult with luggage that never arrived durng our stay, however staff went out of their way to help contact the airlines daily. (Our luggage did manage to catch up with us 9 days later in Santorini)

Thanks to all, hope to see you again!

My wife and I just returned from a great vacation at Rodos and we stayed at this beautiful hotel.
The hotel has three different buildings.
At the beginning we had a room at the second building in zero floor near the pool and we asked to change it to a higher floor. Two days later they removed us to the main building to a higher floor and it was much better.
I recommend you to ask a room in the main building in a high floor.
The staff in the hotel is very kind and polite and helpful and we thank them for changing our room.
The food was very vired and tasty.
In the morning you can choose your own omelets and have a fresh orange juice, a lot of cheese and desserts.
In dinner you have a free buffet (but drinks are not included) and it was very tasty.
The pool and the beach were very clean and nice (you need to pay a deposit of 15 euro for the towels).
The rooms are comfortable and clean and you even have a Jacuzzi in the main building.
The problem in the room was that the bed is not a double bed but a single one and maybe we should ask before for double bed.
I recommend you very much to visit in this hotel and i hope to come back next time I will be in Rodos.

We have just returned from our second visit to the Elysium and were not disappointed - once again we have been extremely impressed with the level of service received at the hotel which has contributed to a fantastic two week holiday for me and my partner.

On arrival, we were upgraded for one night to a superior suite in light of us getting married in Rhodes during our holiday and were kindly given a complimentary glass of champagne which was a really nice touch.

It can be noted that the friendliness of reception staff was phenomenal who addressed guests on individual basis by name which provided a more personable experience.

The food was again for the second year running, to a very high standard. The only slightly negative comment we had was that we preferred it last year when the soup was brought to your table however this did not present us with a problem as there was still a good variety of soups which were of a high standard and I can fully understand the rationale for this change in service type.

I would like to say a special thank you to Georgia in the beach bar and michalis and nickalas from the emerald restarant for thoroughly looking after us during our visit who all go over and above the call of duty in their roles.

The pool, beach and other communal areas of hotel were kept well maintained and spotlessly clean. The cleaning staff were fantastic and also addressed guests on an individual basis which again was a really nice touch.

I will definitely be returning to the Elysium again In the future and would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in a top class hotel in Rhodes.

We also stayed at this wonderfful Resort for our Honeymoon. Though I don't know about Hotel_Truths_89's experience about what she wrote on 20th of June 2013.
My review is a bit of a response on her review too:

Our experience was completely different.

The outside of the resort was very beautiful, as well as the inside. It looked very luxery too!
Upon arrival we were givens some welcome drinks. Orange Juice.
After that we were brought to our room. Which was a huge room with 2 toilets, 1 doublesized bed in a big room, bubblebath, shower, dressingroom, living room, big balcony.
This room was more then we hoped for.
Every day we got a free bottle of Mineral water and tea.
The view on the sea was breathtaking.

Food; Breakfast is indeed a buffet. For Lunch there are 2 options. A la carte and buffet. For dinner it's also a buffet, but with an a la carte dish.
The buffets overal were very nice, there was a lot to choose from!
For breakfast the drinks were included. (our room was including breakfast)
There were various juices, an Orange juice machine for fresh juice, milk, a lot of tea flavors, coffee, even wine. Or at least I think it was wine.

We only had 1 time lunch at the resort. A la carte. They were pretty big plates.
Nice service, after 2 days the people get to know what you like and make a small talk when they can.

For dinner we had a different buffet two times out of the two times we went down to have dinner.
It was a bit unorganized at first the way it goes. But it goes like this:
You choose from the menu the main dish. In the meantime they make it for you, you can have the buffet, and take whatever you like. During your main course you are still allowed to take whatever food you like.
The main course isn't something you have to take. A couple behind us only went for the buffet itself. It's 30 euro per person. Which I think is quite reasonable. Though it didn't include drinks! That was unfortunate.
They have a lot of dishes to choice from at the buffet. Small meals in a glass very well decorated, and also larger meals. Fresh fruit, deserts, plenty of it.
One issue was with the dinner buffet. They will take out the food from the buffet if you come a bit later. The deserts they will keep for longer.

Every day they seem to have different main menu's. Though the room service seems to be the same every day.
It's a 5 star Restaurant, so it seems; the rules for No short pants for men and dress for a woman isn't something that they take too strictly. We saw a guy wearing short pants and flip flops. And a young woman who seemed to be wearing some super short pants. Also various women had pants instead of dresses.
But in overall mostly the people were dresses accordingly to the dresscode that the Restaurant prefers.

Service: As said before the service was nice. It was nice to have a talk with the staff from time to time. Though their English was pretty difficult to understand. Mostly the women were easy to talk to. Especially 2 blonde ladies who were very nice to us during our stay.
Our room was cleaned very well. Had a nice smell when we came back from breakfast.
One issue we had was when we ordered lunch, after finishing you have to call downstairs so they can take the plates. The guy said he would pick it up in 10 minutes. But in fact it took a few hours. Later he apologized though.

Location:
Taxi is needed to get to the the hotel from the airport. I wouldn't suggest going by bus, they are pretty crowdy usually. So not really suitable for luggage.
The price of the taxi to the hotel was 26 Euro. To get to the airport the taxi service seems to have a price arranged with the hotel. That will cost 30 euro. Nothing big for a 20 minutes ride.
It's absolutely nonsense that you need a taxi for every time you want to go out.
There's a bus stop right in front of the hotel. The bus takes you to a couple of towns, among them are Lindos (4.50 Euro pp) and Rhodos City (2.20 Euro pp). They almost cost nothing.

The busses aren't very comfy but at least they aren't too hot. They are usually pretty full.
Another thing about the bus is that it's unclear about how the busdriver knows when to stop. Thre are Stop buttons that don't seem to work. And some busses don't even have them. We usually get up when it's our stop and the driver will stop at the next busstop.
Some bus drivers do tell the name of the busstop, others don't. Just ask the busdriver if you don't know exactly where your stop is...

The only problem is that the busses go at certain times. You can ask a time table at the hotel. They have an excellent desk to ask about touristic places to visit. They provide you with maps, tips, and are fluently in English.

There's a supermarket along the road to Faliraki. And a few along the road to Rhodos City as well. Some websites say there's an ATM at the hotel. Which isn't the case. The closest ATM is about 15 minutes walk to the south (towards Faliraki.) It's along the road, can't miss it really. Almost opposite of the Waterpark attraction.

You can also take a boattrip that at least go to Rhodos City (Red boat) and Lindos.(Yellow boat)
They go at specific times, no reservation needed.
From the hotel, beach side, walk 1 or 2 hotels away to the south. There's a sign just at the middle of the beach near this resort telling you what times the boat goes and where to take it.
About 5 minutes walk on the beach.

Another option is to rent a car. We didn't do this. I think it's wise to do it for a stay longer then 5 days.

Beach: True, lots of pebbles on the beach. But inside the resort there's a shop where you can buy these plastic shoes. We just took out our flipflops near the water itself so the stones didn't bother us too much. In the water there are bigger stones (1 m2) But not many of them. About 10 meters inside the water you can not touch the bottom anymore anyway.
So inside the water we didn't have any problems swimming around.

Near the beach they also have various showers and toilets.

Every day we were trying to catch the sunrise in the morning. To do this you'll have to follow a path up a hill on the north side of the beach. It's about a 15-20 minutes walk to the top. At the top there's a road as well. As well as some other beach at which I have no idea what it's used for. It seems pretty abandoned there. But in the distance you can see the sun going up from a mountain range. Beautiful view!

Checkout day: Our plane was at 21:15 so we spended the whole day at the resort. No difficulties. We putted our suitcases in a locked room. The staff was very helpful. We ordered to let a taxi to come and pick us up at the right time, and the taxi was right on time. We paid 4 Euro extra because the resort called them.

All in all we had a beautiful stay in this luxery hotel!

Room Tip: The higher the room, the better the view. Higher rooms are also more expensive ofcourse. I'd su...

We've just enjoyed a 7night stay at this hotel. The hotel is exceptionally clean everywhere. Wifi is poor even in the reception area. The hotel is on a busy main road but we didn't find it too noisy, we weren't really aware of any traffic noise whilst by the pool. There is a good shop in the hotel for all basic needs. The pool area is lovely, there are plenty of sunbeds both by the pool and on the beach, there is no need to chase down to the pool at 6am to reserve a bed although some sad guests still feel the need to do this. The food is very good, there is plenty of choice. The drinks, as expected in a hotel of this calibre, are expensive. The bar areas are very nice, particularly the bar on the beach. The entertainment wasn't the best. There are bus stops outside the hotel, Rhodes town is around a 20 minute journey for €2 per person (bus very crowded), buses run approximately every half hour. We went to Lindos on the bus another day, this took about an hour, it was a lovely journey through the olive groves and cost €4 per person. If you turn left as you come out of the hotel and walk approximately one mile you will find a nice bar, we wandered here in the evenings, there was a nice atmosphere. There is also a supermarket in this complex, the prices here are cheaper than the hotel shop. At lunch times we found a couple of lovely Greek tavernas serving Greek salad, omelettes, fish, sandwiches, etc with a superb view of the sea. The first taverna you come across is called 'Nicolas Cantina', it is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel, just take the unmade path at the end of the beach and follow it until you come to the road at the top, keep walking for about another 100yards and you will see a sign for the cantina. We felt that the hotel just falls short of a 5 star, there was no pool service for drinks, there is a lovely bar but guests have to go to the bar to buy drinks rather than there being any waiter service, we were going to sit in the bar on the way back to the room on the first night but the bar closed at 6pm, disappointing. Also there was no doorman at the hotel. We have stayed in quite a few 5 star hotels and have always had this service before. The staff are very friendly and helpful, particularly in the restaurant. We had a late flight and couldn't extend the stay in our room (would have cost €40 had it been available), we were offered a half hour slot in the shower room in the spa however, perfect, there was no cost for this. Overall a very enjoyable holiday but wouldn't return to this hotel and would be careful who I recommended it to.

Just got back from an 8 day stay at this hotel. The hotel is incredible and provided our family an experience we will always cherish. I can't say enough about how great the staff were. They were able, accommodating and good natured. The hotel is beautiful and the beach was fantastic. The hotel was very busy during our stay but it never felt too small. We were there with young children and there is more than enough to do at the hotel to keep them busy. Thank you for a great holiday.
