We also stayed at this wonderfful Resort for our Honeymoon. Though I don't know about Hotel_Truths_89's experience about what she wrote on 20th of June 2013.
My review is a bit of a response on her review too:
Our experience was completely different.
The outside of the resort was very beautiful, as well as the inside. It looked very luxery too!
Upon arrival we were givens some welcome drinks. Orange Juice.
After that we were brought to our room. Which was a huge room with 2 toilets, 1 doublesized bed in a big room, bubblebath, shower, dressingroom, living room, big balcony.
This room was more then we hoped for.
Every day we got a free bottle of Mineral water and tea.
The view on the sea was breathtaking.
Food; Breakfast is indeed a buffet. For Lunch there are 2 options. A la carte and buffet. For dinner it's also a buffet, but with an a la carte dish.
The buffets overal were very nice, there was a lot to choose from!
For breakfast the drinks were included. (our room was including breakfast)
There were various juices, an Orange juice machine for fresh juice, milk, a lot of tea flavors, coffee, even wine. Or at least I think it was wine.
We only had 1 time lunch at the resort. A la carte. They were pretty big plates.
Nice service, after 2 days the people get to know what you like and make a small talk when they can.
For dinner we had a different buffet two times out of the two times we went down to have dinner.
It was a bit unorganized at first the way it goes. But it goes like this:
You choose from the menu the main dish. In the meantime they make it for you, you can have the buffet, and take whatever you like. During your main course you are still allowed to take whatever food you like.
The main course isn't something you have to take. A couple behind us only went for the buffet itself. It's 30 euro per person. Which I think is quite reasonable. Though it didn't include drinks! That was unfortunate.
They have a lot of dishes to choice from at the buffet. Small meals in a glass very well decorated, and also larger meals. Fresh fruit, deserts, plenty of it.
One issue was with the dinner buffet. They will take out the food from the buffet if you come a bit later. The deserts they will keep for longer.
Every day they seem to have different main menu's. Though the room service seems to be the same every day.
It's a 5 star Restaurant, so it seems; the rules for No short pants for men and dress for a woman isn't something that they take too strictly. We saw a guy wearing short pants and flip flops. And a young woman who seemed to be wearing some super short pants. Also various women had pants instead of dresses.
But in overall mostly the people were dresses accordingly to the dresscode that the Restaurant prefers.
Service: As said before the service was nice. It was nice to have a talk with the staff from time to time. Though their English was pretty difficult to understand. Mostly the women were easy to talk to. Especially 2 blonde ladies who were very nice to us during our stay.
Our room was cleaned very well. Had a nice smell when we came back from breakfast.
One issue we had was when we ordered lunch, after finishing you have to call downstairs so they can take the plates. The guy said he would pick it up in 10 minutes. But in fact it took a few hours. Later he apologized though.
Taxi is needed to get to the the hotel from the airport. I wouldn't suggest going by bus, they are pretty crowdy usually. So not really suitable for luggage.
The price of the taxi to the hotel was 26 Euro. To get to the airport the taxi service seems to have a price arranged with the hotel. That will cost 30 euro. Nothing big for a 20 minutes ride.
It's absolutely nonsense that you need a taxi for every time you want to go out.
There's a bus stop right in front of the hotel. The bus takes you to a couple of towns, among them are Lindos (4.50 Euro pp) and Rhodos City (2.20 Euro pp). They almost cost nothing.
The busses aren't very comfy but at least they aren't too hot. They are usually pretty full.
Another thing about the bus is that it's unclear about how the busdriver knows when to stop. Thre are Stop buttons that don't seem to work. And some busses don't even have them. We usually get up when it's our stop and the driver will stop at the next busstop.
Some bus drivers do tell the name of the busstop, others don't. Just ask the busdriver if you don't know exactly where your stop is...
The only problem is that the busses go at certain times. You can ask a time table at the hotel. They have an excellent desk to ask about touristic places to visit. They provide you with maps, tips, and are fluently in English.
There's a supermarket along the road to Faliraki. And a few along the road to Rhodos City as well. Some websites say there's an ATM at the hotel. Which isn't the case. The closest ATM is about 15 minutes walk to the south (towards Faliraki.) It's along the road, can't miss it really. Almost opposite of the Waterpark attraction.
You can also take a boattrip that at least go to Rhodos City (Red boat) and Lindos.(Yellow boat)
They go at specific times, no reservation needed.
From the hotel, beach side, walk 1 or 2 hotels away to the south. There's a sign just at the middle of the beach near this resort telling you what times the boat goes and where to take it.
About 5 minutes walk on the beach.
Another option is to rent a car. We didn't do this. I think it's wise to do it for a stay longer then 5 days.
Beach: True, lots of pebbles on the beach. But inside the resort there's a shop where you can buy these plastic shoes. We just took out our flipflops near the water itself so the stones didn't bother us too much. In the water there are bigger stones (1 m2) But not many of them. About 10 meters inside the water you can not touch the bottom anymore anyway.
So inside the water we didn't have any problems swimming around.
Near the beach they also have various showers and toilets.
Every day we were trying to catch the sunrise in the morning. To do this you'll have to follow a path up a hill on the north side of the beach. It's about a 15-20 minutes walk to the top. At the top there's a road as well. As well as some other beach at which I have no idea what it's used for. It seems pretty abandoned there. But in the distance you can see the sun going up from a mountain range. Beautiful view!
Checkout day: Our plane was at 21:15 so we spended the whole day at the resort. No difficulties. We putted our suitcases in a locked room. The staff was very helpful. We ordered to let a taxi to come and pick us up at the right time, and the taxi was right on time. We paid 4 Euro extra because the resort called them.
All in all we had a beautiful stay in this luxery hotel!
The higher the room, the better the view. Higher rooms are also more expensive ofcourse.
