Set in a lovely valley in the Atlas mountains, this small hostel provides a cosy place to escape it all and just relax. It has four double bed rooms, all en suite (although you should be aware that the en suite bathrooms do not actually have doors you can close). Rooms are basic, but clean and tidy with (very) hot water in the shower and a heater in case it get's a bit chilly.
The hostel also has a restaurant that serves maroccan cuisine (e.g. 'tagines' and typical bread of the region, which tastes lovely). The dinner will cost approx. 70 dirhams per person plus any drinks. A double room is between 400-500 dirhams (40-50 Euro).
Best time to come here according to the hostel manager: May (when the apple trees blossom) and autumn, when the valley is green and lush.
Tip 1: If the weather is good, ask to have your breakfast served on the roof terrace - it has absolutely stunning view and gets the sun all day.
Tip 2: Getting here can be a bit tricky. It is very rural - but if it's the real Morocco you are after, then this is the place to go. You can catch a bus from Marrakech to Amzimiz (11 dirhams, approx. 1hour), then walk the 28km to Tnirte via Azgour (bring some food and plenty of water, it's a long and steep hike, but the breathtaking view around every corner more than make up for the effort). If you don't fancy the hike, take a local mini bus from Amizmiz to Azgour (approx. 20 dirhams, 30-40minutes), then it's a 'short' 7.5km hike to the hostel.
