Hosts Laurence and Hicham have created a place of respite and relaxation just an hour from bustling Marrakech. The new cottage, appointed with bits of history, was very comfortable, and the garden - complete with peacock (the only thing that really broke the serenity of the place - was a great place to just hang. Hicham was a willing and knowledgeable guide with a strong commitment to this community (as does Laurence), and he is now the local village mayor! Laurence and her staff created wonder meals ... she even went above and beyond to make an anniversary cake for my wife and me.
We'd go back to Dar Achorafa in a minute!
