“5 star quality at a 3 star price”

Speyburn House B&B

Mar 18, 2008

We were there in September 2007 and originally booked just one night, intending to move somewhere else but kept extending it because it seemed a waste of time to find anywhere better.

The room was very large and very well equipped, we particularly found the wireless broadband useful as we were house hunting in the area.

The breakfast is basically anything that takes your fancy.

It's a classic case of the owners being fairly new to the business so exceptionally keen to please. Nothing is too much trouble.

Our only regret was that we had been trying to buy the property at the same time as the owners but they beat us to it :0(

“Truly outstanding B & B”

Speyburn House B&B

Feb 28, 2008

We spent 3 nights with our boys aged 11 and 13 at Speyburn House. The family room we had was extremely spacious and beautifully furnished. We were truly amazed at the all the attention to detail.

The house is kept immaculately clean and the breakfast room feels like an oasis of calm.

Breakfast is an experience. The Eggs Benedicte are too die for...... everything on the extensive menue is lovingly prepared to order and there is a vast selection of cereals, Scottish jams. The coffee is good and strong and the home-made bread a sure winner.

Lesley serves with charm and grace, sometimes assisted by her lovely children. Her good-looking half Italian husband Andrew made us his special cappucinos. The whole family exudes warmth and hospitality.

Lesley also fixed us wonderful lunch hampers to take with us on our excursions and gave us lots of good advice on where to go and what to do.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay in an absolutely first class B & B. We will definitely return.

Since this guest stayed we have put WIFI in all the rooms along with computer desks and added a desk with a laptop for guests. We are also in the process of getting credit card facilities so that we are now able to accomodate the most discerning business traveller.

I must say - so friendly and cosy place in the world I have not met yet. Picturesque landscape assembled with pampering us in room furnished with fine taste gave us the most enjoyable stay in Scotland during our “marriage anniversary” trip. It has been as we met old friends after long time being separate.

I spent 3 wonderful days in Speyside Scotland in September
2007. One of the brightest spots in my stay was Speyburn House located in Archiestown just outside of Aberlour and Dufftown. The rooms were spacious and well appointed and the rates were most reasonable. With the ability to accomodate from
a single person to a family with children, Speyburn house will exceed your expectations again and again. I was made to feel more like family than a guest by my hostess Leslie Calzetti
She was a fount of local information and gracious in all our dealings. The Breakfast at Speyburn House was delicious and filling with a variety not normally seen in a B&B. Whether you go to Speyside for Salmon Fishing or the Whisky Trail Speyburn House is the place to stay. I know I'll be back!! I here they now
have Wi-fi internet!! A real plus.
