We stayed for a few nights at Amarya Shamiyana in December and LOVED it! The tents were absolutely beautiful with modern amenities. The staff were extremely professional and courteous. Breakfast was delicious and we loved the restaurant next door, La Plage. We had a security guard outside of our tent at night when we were at dinner. Just steps from the beach and the restaurant La Plage, and just up the road from a yoga studio and another great French restaurant, Amarya Shamiyana was our oasis during our time in India. I highly recommend!

Just came back from 5 wonderful nights staying at the Amarya Shamiyana . It is the best place to stay in Goa . Mathieu and his crew don't know what to do to make you feel comfortable. The location is perfect , the beach is clean and almost quiet and the best restaurant in Goa La Plage 1 minute away just a dream ....

Following up on our wonderful experience last year, my husband and I decided to go back to Amarya Shamiyana to see if we could recreate the magic. It was all there - the cheerful staff always at hand to please, the elegant decor, the impeccably clean interiors and surroundings, delicious food, the complete privacy and above all, the same homeliness we had found last year. With the fantastic Asvem beach only a short walk away, it was a most enjoyable, leisurely, sun-filled holiday all over again; this time with a bit of sight seeing and a couple of ayurvedic massages thrown in. We are already planning for a repeat of the same next year!

Nice place just near La Plage restaurant (which is awesome!!)…food was great, service friendly and helpful…we loved this part of Goa as it was not full of backpackers or boozy brits…Amarya is well-run, a bit pricey as location is really just a fenced off compound …but with i-pod dock, air-con etc.. not too bad

I had a crush on the AC tent for its style and comfort facilities and beach location. Though the tents lacks direct sea view, it locates just behind the french resturant La plague, by the sea, with sunbed very comfortable.

The price is also boutique and afforadable with firends to share. They kindly charge us only 1000 extra for turing the two side benches into two beds. We were welcomed by 4 big bottles of free mineral water but no extra shower shampoo.

No breakfest included. of course you can have meals at the La Plague, but we like the simpleer resturant next to La plagues more as it offers much cheaper sea food to our taste. 5 minutes walk down the south, the Marbelly resorts' Italian pasta with lobsters is also good. But the best lobster and meals we had in Goa are in Stone House on the Fort Aguand Road near the old fort.

we had the golden tent, large enough for a couple and two adults close firends to share and there is curtain diving the three beds which is so Soft! There are sands on the conceret floor, to make it more beach feel? The rugs on the floor come late and the room doesn'st apears as comfortable as it seems in the picture at first, but the bed is really soft and may cause backace if you perfer hard bed.

This is the tent nearest to the sea and my firend who sleep on the side-bench-turned bed said he can hear the sea in the night when everything is quite. There is one window AC on the other side, so he shift the fan to his side to keep cool.

We were given a cell phone to contact front desk and we met one of the french owner who just came from Delhi and its young intern from France also. I had been to their Delhi hotels for booking advancement in Safdajung, bueatifully decorated hotels. Everyone is very nice.

There are quite a few taxi drivers waiting outside the tents enclave and it took 1700rupess called by the hotel to get to the airport. My firend even hired a motorybike for 250 a day excluding fuel and enjoyed riding up to the small mountains nearlyby.

The beach is quiet in the evening, and we even saw a women doing Yoga by herself on the beach facing the sea. What an expirence! four of us also took many interesting pictures on the beach, great place for wedding photos and honeymoon.

There is a massage place just between the tents and La Plauge with reasonable prices. Professionals with their own medicine herb oil, very relaxing and refreshing indeed.

We stayed only for two days along the beach and did not catch a party. the Ajuna beach which is famous for party would take us half an hour by car and further than we expected so we didn't go at last. There is also no sign of water sport, but enjoyed the relaxing beach feeling. Save it for the next trip!

We stayed with Mathieu and his team for 4 nights late in November. The service was perfect! With 4 families and young kids it was a great exerience to be in Goa and specifically in the 4 tents. Great time well done, really recommend it!

Stayed here for a few nights in april this year, the tents were large and spacious, although I found the chintzy ikea like decor a little too much and dated, it just didn't fit in with its environment .
Its located just behind a fantastic french beach front restaurant, so no views of the beach, and is situated next to the restaurant busy car park, so although we were located with in their own boundary you could still hear the cars going in and out of the car park next door.
The staff were attentive, but then they would be , there are only 4 tents to oversee and very few guests to look after. We loved the crepes, although we thought the place was overpriced considering you're staying in a tent ,behind a restaurant and next to a car park.
