“Great Food and Atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

after fasting for lab work yesterday, I had a craving for seafood so I went to Babin's - GOOD CHOICE!! - I started off with a fabulous appetizer, Oyster Bienville - oyster baked on a half shell with shrimp, mushroom and Parmesan cheese - CARAMBA!! - excellent - the main course was the fried seafood platter: shrimp, catfish and cajun stuffed crab with dirty rice and cole slaw - all of this was nicely paired with a very nice Argentine Trapiche Chardonnay - I topped it all off with a very nice snifter of Drambuie and double espresso - I will be returning soon!!

“Sweetest place with good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012 via mobile

Great food every time nicest servers the atmosphere of the restaurant is just so relaxing. The fried catfish is a Louisiana base fish and it is the purest white fish. So so good

“A taste of New Orleans”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

I decided to take my fiance to Babin's in the Woodlands for his birthday. He was born and raised in Baton Rouge, so cajun food is his first love. This restaurant was awesome. The gumbo was excellent and so was the fresh fish. Our waiter Jonathan was so sweet, and helpful. He had a great attitude that just made the experience even better than either one of us expected.. It's a must try restaurant for sure.

“Great service and great food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

My wife and I were in The Woodlands, TX for a weekend getaway and saw Babin's website. Looked interesting so we gave it a shot, and we weren't disappointed. It's right off Interstate 45 (visible from the street) just North of the shopping mall. They have loads of fresh fish prepared in an open kitchen and available with any combination of stuffing or sauces you want. The decor was a fun, rustic take on Southern Louisiana themes perfect for the Cajun/Creole menu they offer. I had the Amberjack with Pontchartrain sauce and it was great - nice smoky flavor in the roux. The waitstaff was immaculately attentive, pleasant, and helpful and a personal visit from the manager during the meal was a nice touch. We found out it is owned by the Landry's family of restaurants which is very well known throughout the Houston area for quality establishments.
