In a small village close to Donauwörth you will find this excellent hotel with many generations of innkeepers from the same family. Those who have read "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" would think that the innkeepers have probably developed special genes for the purpose!
We spent three nights for a business travel and there was no reason to go anywhere else for dinner. The breakfast is rich, traditional German style. The bar and restaurant has a nice Bavarian atmosphere, much of the food on the menu is of local origin (pork from own production, and local game), the beer is excellent, and the digestif works like medicine. The food may seem a bit heavy but this is simply a symptom of Bavaria.
The rooms are comfortable although a bit small and soberly equipped, but there is lots of value for the money. An additional touch was the sauna area where I could enjoy an hour of relaxation after work.
If you look for a first impression of southern German hospitality, try this!
