I'm originally from Lille but since I have no family in the area anymore I looked for a guesthouse on the net. I discovered Le Château des Ormes: a jewel 20 minutes from Lille centre with the bus. The B&B is actually in the town next door called Lambersart. The house is beautiful in the neo Flemish Renaissance style and my room was nicely decorated, well appointed and very clean. The breakfast was delicious with fresh baguette and breads, croissants, cold cuts, cheese and a lot more. The dining room is somptuous with vaulted ceilings, mosaic tile floor and a big fire place. Why would you stay in a hotel chain where rooms have no caracter whatsoever, while you could experience the charm of this lovely B&B? I highly recommend anyone to stay at Le Château des Ormes. You will love it!

This is a beautiful small country chateau which has been lovingly renovated.
Stylish but friendly with a lovely garden and only a short drive to the town of
Lille. The hosts couldn't do enough for us and we will definitely go back.
