“Divine food and very friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

Fabulous and friendly - even gave us fresh milk for teas in our rooms! Loved the hotel and the way it had been refurbished in keeping with its time.
The food was simply out of this earth and nothing was too much for the reception and bar staff.
Am going to recommend it through all my friends and acquaintances as this is well deserved.
Also well placed for walks in the area.
Cannot wait to go back.

This is a lovely hotel just a few miles from Keswick with gorgeous views, some rooms overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake at the front of the hotel. Extremely welcoming with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The staff are fantastic, really friendly; nothing is too much trouble. I am a coeliac (gluten free) so could relax knowing they have a great gluten free menu, even had sticky toffee pudding (twice) Mmm. I love the Lake District and will definitely be going back knowing I have a home from home with this hotel.

We stayed in their self catering cottage which was lovely, clean, modern and warm. Lovely views. We ate in their restaurant on three evenings and the food and service were perfect. My partner had the special lamb shank on two occasions and I had the best tuna steak I've ever tasted. The staff are very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Recommend highly.

Although my stay was very brief, I was left with a fantastic impression of Ravenstone Manor. Spectacular views, a charming and quaint interior, great food, clean and comfortable rooms. But the stars were the staff who went out of their way to assist and could not have been more accommodating during my visit. I hope to return.

have just returned from a weekend at this hotel. It was one of the most friendly hotels I have stayed in and felt at home instantly. The food is excellent and I highly recommend eating here every night of your stay. The walking around is excellent (skiddaw) with the paths directly on the hotels doorstep. Can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: try to get one facing the lake

My wife and myself have recently returned from a four day stay at the Ravenstone Manor. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful and were extremely friendly the whole time - the overall impression was that everyone there takes an enormous pride in the place and really care that their guests are comfortable. The quality of the rooms, the public areas and the food (we were on DB&B) was very good so overall a very good break. Highly recommended
