“Slow but delicious!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2012

The ladies here make a mean egg sandwich, that is huge and tasty. Sometimes you get freshly baked break, depending on what's available. They cook each individually - this is not fast food! But, the food is cheap ($14 for 4 egg sandwiches, 2 coffees, 2 juice) and the experience is wonderful. (they taught my kids a "magic" trick). The family who runs this place are charming, very friendly. They also have lunch, although we never were around for it. The local police eat here, so you know you are in the right place. Right near the Wyndam Rio Mar hotel - need a car. We called in our order ahead.

“Great Cafe down the road from Wyndham Rio Mar Hotel in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2012

After walking down the 3/4 mile road from the hotel I met two sisters who owned this little cafe. They had great coffee and wonderful cupcakes. They also had lots of info on day trips for free or very cheap trips around PR. I didn't eat breakfast or lunch but their prices were only $3.50 - $4.00 for a complete meal - at the hotel it was about $20 or more.

“Mi casa, Su casa”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2012

Recently I stayed at the Wyndham Rio Mar Hotel in Rio Grande, Puerto Roico. It was a beautiful hotel and I loved every minute, however i would like to share my experience regarding a local family restaurant. Traveling East on Route 3, you will see a sign "Rio Mar next left". After making the turn, directly to your right will be a parking with four stores. There you will find, the restuarant "Mi Puerto Cafe". This small intimate eatery, is a family operated business which provides delicious breakfast and lunch at a very reasonable rate. Just as an example our breakfast which consist of two eggs, ham or bacon, potatoes, toast, orange juice and coffe, cost us $3.50 per person. In addition, the father serended my husband and I with beautiful sounds from his guitar. I could share other experiences, however i would highly suggest you stop by to create some memories of your own.
