i have stayed here before Holiday Inn took over. Spacious well equipped rooms and kitchen. Bed super comfortable. Live all the upgrades that have been made. A little off the beaten track - I had no problems

This is a very nice hotel but it is important to know what it is and what it isn't- it is on the North Sound, and not very close to Seven Mile Beach- it is about 1.5 miles to West Bay road and about 2 miles to the nearest public beach on Seven Mile Beach. However, it is very quiet, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and there is a shuttle that runs sporadically to the beach and George Town. The restaurant is reasonable, the pool is well kept, and there is a small activity center that rents some limited water equipment. You are right on the North Sound, and can take advantage of the small beach at the hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. It is also on a very nice golf course if that is in your plans. There is very good free wifi in all of the rooms and in the lobby: I could even access it in the pool area.

Room Tip: if you want a quiet room request that you not have a room that faces the pool, although we only hear...

The staff at this resort were fabulous. Starting with the management who booked the room for us - Brooke Meyer (Director of Sales and Marketing), the staff at the front desk - Alexandra, Sherryl, Anette and Tamaya, and especially the cleaning and custodial staff - Ms. Sharon, and a Cuban gentleman born in Genoa whose name I'm forgetting (because we took to calling him Genoa as a private joke). They all made us feel at home. They were attentive and responsive. Sharon went out of her way to be extremely helpful at all times.

The hotel is in a quiet part of the island. The water and beaches are not the best on this side, but you get peace and tranquility. Perfect for relaxing. and you will be pretty close to seven mile beach and west bay (it takes only 10 minutes by car), which has world-class beaches and lots of dining and other entertainment options. If you can rent a car, and you are looking for relaxation, this is the perfect option.

The hotel owners do need invest more in up-keeping the place. The infrastructure is aging a little bit here and there. the staff were extremely responsive to any problems that arose, so this won't interfere with your enjoyment of the property or your vacation. this is just a message to the ownership that they need to invest a bit more in maintenance.

We had a very short stay but enjoyed the facility. The suite was large and easily accommodated our family of four. The facility is functional and clean, the food was good and the concierge and the lady in the dive shop very helpful. The property definitely provides good value for the money.

Hotel never had enough clean towels and the water was never hot. The location made cab rides expensive to go anywhere. The dinning on site had horrible service with extremely long delays. The rooms were ok but the maid service did not even come one day. I would never go back.

My husband and I first came here about 10 years ago and ended up purchasing a timeshare ... we have not once regretted it. We own 3 different timeshares and this is the only one we never trade off. We have seen the ownership/management changes and the resort changes, we've read the negative reviews and we return because we love it here. Everyone is friendly and do their best to help; the front desk is personable and efficient ... during our recent stay we were helped by Ms. Julie and Ms. Annette, both very professional. Maintenance responded immediately to an initial problem we had after checking in. Rooms are clean, comfortable and bug-free. If we've run short of anything, all we've had to do is ask housekeeping and they are glad to oblige. They will clean daily for a fee but we find once a week housekeeping works for us ... a broom and sweeper are available in the unit if we need it and we don't have a problem picking up after ourselves. Grounds are well-kept and the gentlemen are out daily raking, trimming, cleaning the pool and picking up seaweed. Restaurant food is excellent, expecially the grouper, and waitstaff friendly and efficient. We rent a car because we like to come and go as we please, especially trying the many fabulous restaurants on Cayman. It's a little off the beaten path but we enjoy the quiet. We notice many of the same people yearly so clearly Grand Caymanian is doing something right; if not, we could easily sell or exchange. Keep up the good work!

Not sure where any good ratings came for - this is a terrible property with very bad staff that have an attitude that could not care at ll that you were there. Part of the property faces a dumpster! Walls are razor thin so hopefully your neighbors do not breathe and there are never any towels at the pool or beach.mif you call a women who calls herself a Customer Service Agent - her answer to everything you ask is NO - not sure she even hears you out - before you explain she says NO! Don't waste your time and money here - Cayman is a wonderful place not sure how the Holiday Inn imported such rude staff!

Room Tip: Avoid the blonde customer service agent and also the left hand side of the resort unless of course y...
