“A missed oppourtunity ”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2013

Yes they have a lot of historical artifacts however they are poorly labelled (if at all) and the order was not always logical. If they threw in a well put together audio visual tour it would be both more enjoyable and closer to value for 15 euros. Shame really

“La Granja - a must do family day out”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

Although La Granja can be busy in peak season on the the right day and time the very grand farmhouse is well worth a visit. Saturday changeover worked for us in August 2012 with the attraction having charm and elegance with endless photo opportunities. My family have visited several times with the front gardens being excellent and the hilltop walk complete with roaming donkeys worth the short climb for the view. The room content is extremely varied and educational and the overall facilities excellent. La Granja is easy to find just beyond Esporles with plenty of parking.

“Over-priced”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

This was quite expensive - around 14 euros per person. As you climb up the steps to start the tour you are accosted by two ladies in traditional costume who pounce on you to take a photograph... we declined. You pick up a leaflet at the entrance which lists all the exhibits along the route - unfortunately most of them are not labelled so it wasn't always easy to see what you were looking at. There are certainly lots of things to look at but we didn't find it that interesting. The gardens with waterfall are quite nice.

Towards the exit there is an opportunity to try local produce - doughnuts with various jams, sausage, cheese etc. There was supposed to be wine tasting but there was nobody available.

“La Granja - an education, a culinary pleasure, a lovely day out.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

La Granja is a lovely old Spanish stately home in the mountains of Majorca. The rooms are filled with examples of crafts from days gone by, such as wool making, grain milling, cheese making, tanning, herbal crafts, dentistry, winemaking, farming, weaving - I could go on. All of this is in a beautiful building and there is a haunting charm to the whole place, that is set in beautiful grounds. There is a restaurant serving beautiful rustic Spanish dishes, and a lovely garden, too. We loved the place and wish we had had longer.

“Definitely view the show”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

For the same price it's Wednesday and Friday that offers the visitor more with the craftspeople and dressage show. Hint : go for a donkey ride at the show and you might be given a bottle of wine. There's some food tasting to be done and the mansion is larger than I expected. A full 3 hours needed when there's the show to appreciate the place properly.
