I loved this place, the feeling i got ,is undiscribable. The guard for this place was an old(knowledgeable) man,i think his name was Eshghi or Asheghi, which either way has a good meaning(love..),i heard he passed away recently, after serving for lot of years there(bless his soul)

“A reminder of the great ancient Persia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2011

It used to be one of the three most important fire temples of the ancient Persia.
We enjoyed the scenery and the atmosphere on the place and there were new excavations in place.
There was a small museum. You may find a leader in the gate to provide you with the information about the site (but not sure if they can speak English).
There is a beautiful lake in the site.
Do not miss the Eskandar (Alexander) prison. You need to climb a high hill to see inside of it. However, it is worth it!

“The biggest firehouse in ancient Iran”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2008

I'm an Iranian and I've visited Takht-e Suleyman twice in my life. This site comprises the ruins of the biggest and the most important firehouse in ancient Iran. There is also a natural pond in the middle of the ruins with water exuding out of it from underground sources. This site is a great tourist attraction for those interested in historical places. There is also a cone-shaped hill near this site, which is called Suleyman's Jail. It's a hollow hill and in the past water came out of it but at present it does not exude water!
I'll include some photos of the location. I've taken these photos myself. Later I'll include more photos after saving them on my computer.
