Rain in July- is there less in Monteverde?

According to the rainfall map, it looks like there is much less rain in Monteverde in July than in June. Is this accurate? It also looks like arenal gets more rain in July than in MV...

There's less rain but I don't know about 'much less', February and March are probably better dry months. Monteverde is pretty damp and dripping all year round as it is cloud forest but with a decent rain jacket - you'll still enjoy the beauty of the area.

We went in July, and we got a lot of rain. We did a night hike, and it was sunny when we left, and it started absolutely pouring during the hike, so we all got drenched. I was wearing running shoes that never dried out the entire trip because it was cool and damp. We just plowed ahead with all our activities and still had fun. We've also done Arenal in July and had some on and off rain but nothing that ruined our plans. Monteverde can also be very chilly. We had to wear sweatshirts and fleece jackets at night while we were there.
