We have 7 nights to drive from Fez to Marrakesh and also want to spend time in Marrakesh (the nights in Fez are BEFORE these 7 nights).
We want to go to the desert. How would you allocate nights?
4 nights driving and in desert? 3 nights in Marrakesh? or 3 nights driving/desert stay and 4 nights in Marrakesh? Where would you spend the nights along the way?

You can also skip Essaouira and stay one more night on your trip to Marrakech. It is in Ouarzazate and there near is kasbah Ait BenHaddou, worth visiting. Even in Ouarzazate is to see one other kasbah and Palace of Glaoui.
